Venting session

I'm tired of ranting or piling on my friends and family for their views, it does no good since I know they won't change their minds/opinions and it'd be wrong of me to try to so aggressively. So here I am: Help our own first. Ok. House a homeless person and help them get on their feet. Oh wait, can't do that, it's too much work and you don't want a stranger in your house? I thought you cared. Help campaign to set up a new tax bracket for those who can afford to pay more, to pay for the cost of care and assistance for those at the low end of the spectrum so they can get on their feet. Oh don't agree to that because they need to "earn their way" and government shouldn't be handing out things? Get off the high horses people. There are people here and abroad who need help, but I only see one side that doesn't want to follow through to help either group.
