I think Season One’s *The Mad Monster* is way underrated. Josh’s version of Tom is a hoot, even if I only got to know him years later. Joel explaining to the kids about movie violence then and now always makes me giggle, too.

I watch the show primarily for the movies. The host segments just aren’t that funny to me for the most part. There’s a few good ones: the ones you normally hear about. But otherwise, I normally skip them.

I more often remember the song lyrics that were misremembered by the MST3K cast than the actual lyrics. "HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY MEAT IF YOU DON'T EAT YOUR PUDDING?!" Mike, "Escape 2000" - superhenryjones
I really, really enjoyed the live show. Part of what made it so strong is that it seems like Jonah and Hampton are really comfortable with each other now, and they worked off each other really well. Tim was also great as substitute Servo, and you get to see all four riffers are really good at adding in little improvs and working with the crowd's energy. It's probably not going to happen, but I'd love it if they live shows get a DVD release or the secret movie gets a proper episode.
All of the casts were great, and I adore everybody on the show, but the golden years were the Mike-Trace-Kevin years. And no one will convince me otherwise.
My friend is highkey thirsty for torgo. I can't figure out if she's joking or not...
Sometimes, when I'm at one of my favorite used book stores, I’ll find a copy of Mike Nelson’s Movie Megacheese. I’ll pick it up, page through it, and consider. But then I invariably put it back where I found it, thinking Mike just doesn’t. Like. Movies. AT ALL.
I had been a fan of mst3k before the reboot, but I had only seen a few episodes. I watched the entire reboot in a week, and now I'm going back and watching many of the originals. The mst3k reboot is a reboot done right, and I hope it influences other people to watch more of the show too.
I'll always regret that Pearl and Flavia didn't team up and try to rule time and space together.
FYI, I remembered...
I don’t wish to post many secrets or confessions that are Joel vs Mike or Original vs Reboot, etc. I don’t mind a couple, especially if there’s a reason why you do not like them. Things like “Mike sucks, Joel’s better” or “Older show is better, new show isn’t funny”, etc. I’d prefer we kept those to a minimum or none at all. You are free to explain WHAT you don’t like about the shows and characters, etc, but constantly saying X did it better than Y gets kinda silly and tedious.
Thank you.

I liked Pearl's old look with the curly hair, glasses and small mustache
TV's Frank is totally adorkable.
I cook, clean, and do laundry while MST or Rifftrax are on in the background. I go to sleep to MST or Rifftrax every night. Sometimes I worry that my husband will sit me down and tell me I’m too obsessed with the show and need to back off. But it makes me feel happier, calmer, and safer than almost anything else in my life.
I want to make love to Servo's voice. I don't know what it is about it. It's just a blessing to this world, especially when he sings.
I only just discovered MST3K, but I prefer Joel to Mike. Mike's a decent dude, but I prefer Joel's personality and I especially love how he kinda acts like the 'dad' to his robots. It's so precious.
For better or worse, Maximilian Schell is MY Hamlet.
