haeun looked damn good. thatâs what everyone said, anyhow. thankfully taeyeon and mabel had ensure nothing could ever go wrong with her outfit. as long as she was happy, the plants would be too. so far they had been doing a fabulous job of keeping her covered for the areas that counted.
(although she was sporting some healthy cleavage.)
coupled with the healing draft she took, the leafier parts of her outfit were doing well to hide the healing scratches from her excursion with malia. she was mostly recovered from that frightful night. hopefully no one will notice. sheâs kind of anticipating everyone to be distracted byâŚ..well, everything else.
âoh, haneul,â haeun says automatically. she doesnât exactly sound thrilled to see her brother but things had been tense since his birthday and chuseok. her grandmother had taken exactly two seconds to pounce on haeun needing to be tutored in dada while haneul, as usual, didnât suffer in any of his classes. she put up with it for the holiday and his birthday but as usual following any home visits, haeun stayed far away from her brother for a bit. âyouâre that dude from greaseâŚ..nice.â
halloween may be haneulâs favourite holidayâor maybe itâs christmas... he canât decide. either way, heâs enjoying the opportunity to wander around in his greaser get-up. a leather jacket never did anyone any harm, and his hair greased back sort of suits him, or at least he thinks it does. heâs gotten a few compliments throughout the evening as heâs meandered around getting stuck into the activities, so heâd consider it a successful costume. grease is, after all, a great classic.Â
however, when he notices a familiar figure appearing beside him he takes one look over her and frowns. haeunâs costumes far too revealing for his liking, and heâs tempted to take off his jacket and cover her up with it, but he knows that wouldnât go down well. things haven been tense recently, since theyâd both been home a few times. it seemed that things always got worse after they visited home. of course, haneul isnât stupid, he knows that grandmotherâs comparisons of them, and her praise of him beside her criticism of haeun must be what agitates the already ever-present rift between them. he just wishes they could get along, but he knows itâs unlikely.Â
even if thereâs a tension between them, haneulâs never not happy to see haeun. sheâs his baby sister after all, and even if he never really knows what to say to her, and feels as though she likes him less and less each time they encounter each other, he likes to see her and know that sheâs doing okay. âyeah, danny zuko.â he replies with a smile, eyes still locked on her foliage dress. âuh... and youâre... poison ivy?â there really isnât anything else she could be, but heâd much rather sheâd dressed as something cuter, like alice from alice in wonderland, or perhaps a disney princess. something slightly less revealing. âarenât- uh... arenât you cold?â
itâs only then, inspecting her costume more, that he spots some scratches, and when he notices the first, he begins to notice more, and more. thereâs too many for it to look like she just got a graze from falling over, and the realisation that something must have happened to injure her this extensively makes him frown and his palms sweat with a slight panic. âwhat happened?â he asks, his voice insistent. he reaches out to touch one of the scratches, but holds himself back, hovering his hand near one of them with his brow furrowed in concern.Â
