✘ CLOSED STARTER — @msuxhaeun​

Malia loved puzzles. Of all the activities offered for Mokseong’s Halloween party, she was most excited to hear about the mirror maze. Sure, it’d be a bit tricky at first, but imagining the feeling of satisfaction when she’d finally made it out was too good to pass up.With Haeun by her side, Malia was especially sure they’d make it out in no time. 

The Toseong freshman seemed to be making it through each corner with ease before she’d finally found herself stuck. Tilting her head sideways in thought, Malia gave it her best shot and still couldn’t figure out an answer. Disappointed in herself, she then turned to her friend who she’d thought was following right behind her, only to find no one there. 

“Haeun?” She called out, eyes wide and just a bit panicked. “Haeun, are you here?” 

Instead of a response, Malia only heard a few giggles and jumbled up sentences in return. After listening closely, the girl headed off towards the direction of the source, hoping to find the person she was looking for.

“Haeun, is that you?”

even though it has been weeks since all the carnival fun, it looks like we still have some juicy rumors coming in. but can you really call them rumors when there were so many eye witnesses to testify? @msueloise was seen being quite handsy with a younger student while on the ferris wheel, making out with no other that miss @msuxelodie from hwaseong herself. well, i suppose they weren’t really trying to be discreet about it, not with those moans anyway. unfortunately, it looks like they were caught by some freshman from the cart above them so they moved their business elsewhere. pity. it would have been funnier if they were caught by librarian kim. but hey, who knew mokseong had some exhibitionists?  🐝

next on our list is @msuxhaeun shooting her shot! and you know what? it was a miss! the poor little hwaseong freshmen really tried her best to dress up for resident heartthrob @msulevi. and what better night to show off than at hwaseong’s quidditch after party? but even with all of her effort to woo him the past couple of weeks, it’s no surprise that she was rejected almost immediately. how embarrassing! just a little piece of advice for next time: never pursue the playboy, love. you were only setting yourself up for that one. but lesson learned, right?  🐝

and speaking of quidditch, did anyone catch the opening matches? or rather, did you happen to catch the end of them? after geumseong’s surprising win over toseong, there was mixed emotions everywhere. some players were crying, some players were celebrating. and other players -- they snog, apparently. we all saw the smooching, @msuxhyunki and @msusoohwa! and it certainly did not look like it was the first time around the pitch. so now, how does it feel for the gossiper himself and his new beau to finally be in the spotlight?  🐝

Faraway Places

As much As Ahyoung disliked her parent's travelling lifestyle as a child, she'd subconsciously done very much the same once she'd finished school. Mainly staying around Europe, the girl had seen and experienced a lot, leaving her with many stories to tell those who'd listen.

“Hmm, I think I know Germany and France best since I grew up and went to school there, but my favourite... I can't tell at all! Every city had something about it that I fell in love with and other things I could've lived without,” she chuckled, feeling a bit awkward about talking so much. She loved chatting about all the places she's been to, feeling fond of the memories, happy thinking about all her experiences.

“Is there any place you'd like to know more about specifically? Or is there any place you've ever wanted to go to?” she asked curiously, to divert focus away from her again, but also so she could make sure to talk about a place the other was actually curious about.

Travelling really was a great thing and she wouldn't change anything, except maybe, that she would like to travel with someone else, rather than alone. It was great to become more independent and self-confident, but the thought of all those adventures plus a friend was rather compelling as well.

“you’re cute.” elodie smiles, draping an arm over the younger hwaseong student. there was no particular reason that elodie has singled out this little girl out of all the others today other than the fact that the common room was nearly empty and she was bored. 

and she wanted to see how quick she could make her cry. she looks liked an easy one to cry. 

so elodie feigns nice, friendly, leaning against her and picking at her hair with a hum. “a little plain looking, but cute, i guess.” it’s such a backhanded compliment for it to not be obvious. 

“what’s your name, sweetheart? see you around levi a lot. he’s pretty-- you like him?”

he’s heard stories. rumors and funny anecdotes about horrible daily prophet reporters stalking any unfortunate wizard like some sort of vulture and hyunki thinks he would never, ever be like that. but then again, he’s also always liked to be in the loop, in the know, and always have the latest word on what was happening. he’s not afraid to ask and has his ways of weaseling out information from people, or at least embellishing enough of a small lie that they come out and correct him with exactly what he wanted to know. 

which is why when a little worm crawled in his ear about a certain hwaseong freshman into the brave and fiery house... well, he just had to know if it was true. 

“hi.” it’s always easy to be unassuming, welcoming, polite. “i’m kim hyunki, geumseong junior prefect.” identify and begin. “do you mind if i sit here?” he points to the empty side of the bench. and then simply sits himself down without waiting for a real answer. “the greenhouse is a nice place to hide out-- if you’re hiding out. or i suppose just to spend some time. but you’re not hiding out, are you?” 

all posed as innocent questions, a smile sitting on his face, unassuming. “sorry, you’re kang haeun, right?” maybe he should have started with that.

Smart is a good word to describe Miso with… he is at the top of his class, is great with almost all animals, he has four pets in his room and consider multiple of the animals at the magical creatures reserve his friends because of how of a good bond he has with them, furthermore he’s great at charms, has mastered some of the hardest charms, he’s also incredibly talented at potions and transfigurations, and of his best achievements? Turning himself into an animagus. So easily said, there’s a reason for why Miso is so confident and is described so often as smart. 

However another word that describes Miso pretty well? Idiot. Yes, Miso is the definition of an idiot, you think with how smart he is he wouldn’t do idiotic things, but no no no, Miso is  one of those people that always does idiotic things, like what? For example like that one time where he had a broken arm and decided to fight a troll, how he survived? Long story… but he got a pretty great scar from it. Another idiotic thing the boy has done? He once saw a potion and thought it looked delicious so he drank it, what was the potion? Alihotsy draught, hence he laughed uncontrollably for hours, not fun. And today? Another idiotic thing has happened.

Miso knows plants fairly well, he can tell most plants by just looking at them, but this one plant? He didn’t know, so what did he decide to do? Taste it. However the moment he put it on his tongue he began to feel a sting, it hurt. And even worse? He couldn’t talk, gosh what had he eaten. Suddenly someone came into the greenhouse and immediately Miso grabbed their hand and pointed at his mouth then the plant. “is a te yes  and nntitt ny tongey huruts” he tried explaining, however what was coming out was barely words.

Now that October had finally arrived, Malia was looking forward to some spooky shenanigans. Luckily, Haeun always seemed up for keeping her company. This was something she was extremely grateful for. The two were rather similar in more ways than one, making it relatively easy to be in each other’s presence. When she was with the younger, Malia felt at ease. But she also felt responsible to step up to the plate and take care of her. As far as class standing, the two were the same. However, in regards to their age, Malia had two whole years over the other. Haeun was like the little sister she never had— something she never thought she’d be able to say.

“I heard some of the older DADA students talking about a boggart being hidden somewhere within the castle.” Malia shared excitedly to the younger in the midst of their meal. “We can try looking for that if it sounds exciting enough for you.” They’d both agreed that they wanted to do something adventurous, but deciding on exactly what was proving to be a bigger problem than initially intended. 

As she began to think through her own proposal, Malia’s thoughts wandered back to her first experience with a boggart. What she’d seen was not something either she or her mother had expected. Malia couldn’t say that she was surprised at what she’d seen, though. But was that something she wanted to share with Haeun? It was a bit embarrassing now that she looked back on it. She pondered on this thought for a moment before shooing it away. That was years ago. There was no way her boggart would be the same...right? And anyway, it was time for Malia to face her fears— it’s what this time of year was all about.

“I’m up for it if you are, though.” She chimed in once more, plastering her lips with a mischievous grin.

the afternoon rush had calmed down some at madame menagerie’s shop, as students and citizens alike took care of their daily sugar craving, and while daisy would usually grab a drink for herself and her roommate bonnie, before heading back to their room to study, today she had bumped into haeun. It must have been a week since they last talked, classes, school events, and other engagements barring them from seeing each other. 

“ i hope i didn’t stop you from going anywhere,” daisy said, thin fingers fiddling with the straw of her drink, “ it’s been a while since i saw you, i’m sad we couldn’t take any pictures together at during halloween!” the toseong student exclaimed, pursing her lips before she took a sip of her matcha milk tea. “ i wish i had the idea to switch up my costume choices , i feel like mine was a little too predictable you know, but hey a lot of people said i was cute!” 

yes it was a bit annoying to be considered grown women and assumed to be cute, but the toseong student had learned to work with it, pretty, hot or cute were just adjectives and most people ( men ) assumed she would be dumber than they were, so why not take advantage of it
