One of my favorite fall weekends! Crushed the Bethany Tri today (despite a wave induced faceplant for a swim exit) with #districtmultisport - who all had incredible performances. Placed 2nd overall female (non elite) and got to spend some QT on the beach with the kiddos, my seestor and Ben! I chose @ironmancanada For #2 because I wanted a really hard course. Well, I got it; I got a bear. I got a bear of a course, a bear for a medal, and there was literally a bear on the run course for the second year in a row. Through the hardest parts of the day, I couldn't stop thinking about when I'd see these three smiling, cheering faces next. They stuck it out through a longer-than-predicted finish time and Miles was a little trooper! I'm thankful for these three more than I can say, and for all the messages and posts today from friends and family, too. It will be the day, my friends, that I finally catch up on laundry...a seemingly impossible feat. The dog doesn't even believe it to be within reach. That day, will be the day I have considered myself a winner.
