I will never understand how normalized it is to put cameras in your home now. I can recognize some scenarios where it makes sense- if I had a stalker for example, but like. It would have to be That Big for me to consider it. People today use it to tell their kids it's time to stop playing video games and do homework like. Like?? I do not understand how you don't understand how harmful it is to raise kids with the sense they're always being watched like why does anyone under normal circumstances invite this into their home

it's kinda comforting to me when my friends are a little annoying or longwinded or abrasive or tired and inarticulate, or they don't do the exact politest thing in every interaction, and stuff, because I know I'm sometimes annoying, or take up a more than my share of conversational space, or forget to ask them questions, etc etc, and... like, I'm always working to be nice to my friends and to get better and better at friend-ing, but it just makes me feel more human about it :}

anyway I love you friends plz know I'm not counting, in fact I feel great affection toward you even (especially) when conversations go less than Perfectly Ideal

I only just found out yesterday that Drea @kenzodiazepine passed back in December and I do not really know how to process it. I feel bad that I didn’t try to check in on her earlier. The lizard part of my brain feels guilty for not “saving” her even though there is almost certainly nothing I could have done.

Anyway I guess most of y’all didn’t know her but she was very sweet and funny, and she deserved better than what this life gave her. I don’t really know what I believe about an afterlife anymore, but I do believe she is no longer suffering and I take some comfort in that.
