I saw some people saying that this ending wasn’t rly that sad but I think what makes it sad are the implications
it implies that Dapper, Pomme and Richas died, and probably a long time ago since they’re still eggs
It implies that q!bad never saw them again until he was at heaven’s gate. how long had he been waiting in the dark, alone? Days? Or maybe weeks, months, years? …Centuries? It’s never specified
it implies that q!bad literally had to k/ll himself to see his children again. Sure the end result was good but, that’s still so,,,depressing. Part of his arc was learning to love life and find a family and home outside of heaven, and all of that was taken from him, until he had nothing left, until all he could was remain trapped in time, miserable, until death released him

yeah same line of thinking as you, this was called the “sad ending” for a reason
like q!bad said before how losing the eggs made him ‘give up’ for the first time. this felt like the ending where he truly gave up and resigned himself to wait in the dark, in sorrow, who knows how long for. maybe it was a whole lifetime… by then, if any eggs were alive before they would’ve been dead. maybe q!bad in this ending could’ve experienced much more adventures in his life if he didn’t stay still in that darkness? only after a miserable amount of time with nothing he finally got to reunite with his kids. perhaps even heaven took pity on him

i'm gonna miss richas for several reasons but i think the biggest one is what he symbolised to me. i've been in anglophone spaces for nearly a decade now and i'm so. SO used to no one knowing anything about brazil. like literally nothing, like assuming we speak spanish nothing.
when the brazilians got added to the qsmp and richas was introduced i very quickly saw so much of our culture just being shared to people who would've otherwise never heard of it. our typing quirks like laughing with "k"s being spread around and used by people who'd never even been here. creators and richas both sharing classic memes i hadn't heard of in years but to people who were seeing them for the very first time. creators I'd been a fan of for years LITERALLY physically coming down here which is something I never in a million years would've expected. philza minecraft had guaraná and liked it so much they tweeted at him about it. fuck man ive watched jaiden animations for like 8 years and she was HERE. because of qsmp
idk I don't have a conclusion just I'll forever be thankful for qsmp for being a means to cultural exchange and especially learning about all facets of countries many hadn't even given much thought to before

But yes, Chat. Yes, some of the… Eggies are leaving, which I know is a really sad thing to see following such a fun and happy day of Murder Mystery, which was really fun. And I know– as far as I know right now, just, I'm aware that I was– I'm aware that Pepito— er, not- sorry, Pepito is behind me, see Pepito? He's right there.
As far as I know, Chat, right now I'm aware of Richas left, or will be leaving, Lullah will be leaving, and I believe Chayanne will be leaving. And… it's really heartbreaking. And it's hard to talk about, obviously, ‘cuz we made so many memories with them over the past year. So… I think, I don't know. Obviously like, there's things I wanna say, things I will say, things I won't say, you know… And I just… I dunno. Right now just gonna… filling you guys in. But uh, yeah, they will no longer be around. So… Yeah, it’s very sad, I’m very sad. But I think…
I don't think– or at least I'd say I hope that it's not the end of any particular adventures for them going forward.
And I don't know, we'll see what the future holds for any particular thing. You feel me? Just like– just enjoy the memories today. Relish in the sadness chat. Embrace the sadness for a bit, and understand that like, I think tomorrow will be better, and just give the love and appreciation to the amazing people— give the love and appreciation, Chat, to the amazing people of the project who worked so hard and put their heart and soul into everything they did. Obviously, in particular, I was particularly close to Dapper, Pomme, and Richas, and I'm gonna miss them the most, obviously, Chat. I don't know personally, I don't know what my– I can't speak necessarily on what my future holds because… you know, in regards to anything ‘cuz I'm just kinda going through the emotions right now and just kind of feeling the emotions, you know?

So… It's hard to play, uh… it's hard to play Minecraft with, um, with people for so long, Chat. You know, to spend so much time with people. on further reflection i have no idea why i’m surprised since the normal skeppy life cycle is of course to do things to an extreme degree for a short period of time and then never do it again for years. a la the triple uploads and every other period of semi-consistent streaming.
