Hello, welcome to the Muffins Rewritten blog! I am well aware that I am not the first, nor will I be the last, to revamp this series, however I’ve been fixated on it for a while now, and now want to put my own spin on it. I’d also like to say that I don’t plan to take this very seriously, not like the original series at least, I’m very aware that this is just very goofy and it’s just for fun.

You may call me Rev if you’d like!

Hi guys it’s been a while I have a few brainstorms to fix some things I didn’t really like in my original idea and the original story

It’s 12:40 AM rn so bear with me

1. Religion is jarring in My Little Pony, even in a story about MLP gore, a foal out of wedlock is crazy. Instead of being hidden from the world, Twinkie Pie went missing, lost without a trace, and presumed dead, she felt replaced by her parents when she comes back. I know this might take a lot of responsibility off the parents in a way but I’ll make it work

2. Apple Bloom was in a rebellious phase, staying out late on purpose, and she found Pinkie disposing of remains very late at night, leading to her being threatened to help or be killed with her family

3. Marble is a lesbian this isn’t new but it’s always been on my mind :p

So I recently got back into the Muffins saga due to it recently being finished (I enjoy these kinds of dark stories in the same way I do a True Crime podcast, even though it comes from a teenage Creepypasta obsession haha) and I'm so glad to see someone making an arguably better version (especially considering the views of the OG author, which I admittedly learned of only very recently). Can't wait to see the eventual Ao3 story to come out of it! Love the directions you chose for the characters! Feels more realistic imo

Minkie is technically counted as an OC of the original author, and I don’t feel comfortable using the same name/design, which is why I created Twinkie.

Derpy had followed Rainbow Dash to Sugar Cube Corner the day the latter disappeared. She didn’t put much thought into it, but soon started to notice her other friends slowly disappearing. Being sneaky, she entered the bakery at night, and found a trap door in her investigation.

However, Pinkie found her snooping, and Derpy came up with the excuse that she wants to learn to bake too, so Pinkie took her in.

Currently, I’m trying to figure out how I want Derpy to react to the murders, I do not like her old characterization, and I’m trying to write her so she’s not completely clueless and—for a lack of a better word—an infantilized idiot.

She does, Luna visits Apple Bloom’s dreams the most, and tries to comfort her. She’s suspicious of things happening in PonyVille, but currently she has no proof to act on anything. So currently, all she can do is stay with Apple Bloom and wait for her to open up.

I really like what you have planned for Apple Bloom! Could you talk about your ideas for Babs Seed?

I’ll be honest, I’m unsure what I want to do with Babs. I didn’t like her characterization in the original, but I have no idea how to interpret her in my own way.

For now, she knows something’s up, and will sneakily follow Apple Bloom to Sugar Cube Corner when she visits PonyVille. She can’t wrap her head around it, and she waits until Apple Bloom eventually comes back out and goes home.

I’ve been pretty active during Artfight this year, and just recently added Twinkie Pie, Misty and Rinse Repeat to my account for attacks.

Of course, it’s not forced but if you find that you want to attack them, I’ll be super glad! And I’ll try to revenge you asap.

I didn’t add any canon characters because they don’t diverge from the actual show to be considered an “AU design” so unfortunately no Pinkie, Apple Bloom or anyone else.

You CAN use my art for edits and pfps with credit. The old rule was really meant for my own personal oc art, which is dumb and doesn’t apply to what I’m doing here.

The characters created for this AU are technically my OCs, but people are allowed to use them how they want, again with credit!

To the few anons that sent in asks, I promise I’m not ignoring you! Your questions are things I haven’t really thought much about until now, and I’ll work on my plans before answering them!

are you planning on keeping the pairings the original creator made? she said they werent romantic at all (good) and i liked how each baker was paired up, like babs and blinkie, and ditzy and minkie

I’m going to try to, it really depends on as I write the new personalities who bounces off each other best.
