     Tsunayoshi stares at the other before giving up on his composure and bursting into laughter. ‘Accidental involuntarily manslaughter’---

     If he got a dollar every time he heard something like that he’d be rich! Well, richer than now anyway, it’s not like the Vongola are a poor family or anything. Still, the way the other phrased it, with a completely straight face, just had him toppling over and laughing.

     “I’m sure there can be something arranged either way. Accidental or not.”

     He has to stop himself for a moment, giving the other a stern look. “You know, we don’t really condone murder for fun here, right? You know that?” Of course accidents happen. Accidents happen a lot, when you’re working with temperamental people like his chosen family but he still tried to keep them in check. They have the Varia for the dirty jobs anyway.

     “Or are we talking about a past murder-- Please tell me you didn’t leave the body behind. I don’t want to deal with that.”

     He leans back, all business, the countless hours of training paying off, as his face does not reveal any hint of traitorous emotion.

     “I can grant you safety, security, no one will be able to ever find you.”

     He smiles kindly, shifting from one foot to the other. He pushes a stray lock of hair behind his ear. “And here I thought I finally made a name for myself to be kind, so much for that.” He sighs, dropping the charade and smiles, genuine this time.

     “Perhaps not everyone knows about me, that’s just fair. I’m Tsunayoshi Sawada, you’re free to call me Tsuna though.” He extends a hand in greeting, using the other to push his hair back, a nervous habit.

     “Honestly though, if you need anything just tell me and I’ll see what I can do.”

     It takes every bit of self control in Tsunayoshi’s small body to not start laughing. He fears if he did laugh, he wouldn’t live to tell the story.

     Instead he takes one, two steps back and smiles at the other with newfound confidence that surely wasn’t there a few years ago.
