If you think this message was sent to you by accident, chances are you are absolutely correct, but for those of you who wish to participate in the wondrous event that is gift giving this season, please let me know so my dearest Nana Rose and I can sort out pairs. (Note: I will not be taking suggestions for pairs, you get who you’re given.) There’s a measly $50 spending limit since I know a lot of you are closer to borderline poverty than others.

“good. that boy’s too ugly to be confused with, it’d be insulting.” his eyes widen at the name drop, disgust coiling up within him. blossom. his thoughts go to the fiery redhead and the still healing wound on his shoulder. god, how he hates that girl and her fucking family. his initial reaction is that of wanting to hurt this girl, send cheryl and her serpents a message, but then another idea pops into his head. what better way to get revenge than to turn family against family. “nice to meet ya, allie blossom.” when he takes her hand, he kisses the back of it for full effect. “malachai.” dropping his hand, he grins at her then, slouching a little more in his seat. “allie’s nice and all, but i’m gonna keep calling you princess.”

SHE’S NOT IGNORANT enough to miss the widening eyes as her name falls from her lips but just as lips part to speak of it , it’s gone . instead now , she’s caught in his soon to be spun web , reaction forgotten as his lips leaving a blaze of fire over her knuckles as her cheeks match the heat in colour , bright red splotches dot along the apples of her cheeks , her ears & down her neck as he pulls away , his position falling l a x once more , a contrast against the red leather of pops ! soft smiles turning bashful as she glances back at the table . “ malachai . ” she repeats , as if tasting it on her tongue , green eyes rising back upwards . “ i don’t think i’m much of a princess , malachai . ” perhaps more suited as one of the background characters in a disney film , but she was no princess . “ would you like a drink or something ? ”

he pointed a finger at her. “don’t go confusing me with the likes of that serpent scum.” he threatens before lounging back, arms splaying out across the back of the booth and the button down shirt that’s left unbuttoned falling against his sides. before long, he’s squinting at the girl, more than a little confused about the fact that instead of scurrying away, she had remained. “depends. you gonna give me your name, sweetheart?” he’s eyeing her, gaze lingering on her soft expression and gentle words and confusion sets in after how rude he’d been.

LIPS PART & EYES widen as he points . he’s different than what she knows . she’s used to dark leather jackets or lettermans , or clean cut boys & serpent tattoos , but this one , he was no serpent , the unabashed attire , the carefree slant of his body , told her that, she didn’t know what he was or who , but she didn’t falter either way . “ not confusing you , i don’t know you but i know jughead , i just said that he likes to tag places . ” rambles left sweet lips as she reached for her drink . “ it’s rosalie , or well , yeah but most people call me allie , allie blossom . ” tongue tied & twisted as she spoke , free hand reaching towards him in greeting . “ it’s nice to meet you ” her words pause , waiting for the name of her table partner .

pretty smile on her face , that smile is a killer ! literally in some sense ; but jane isn’t here on ghoulie business , much less gang business . she just wants to eat . “ no worries , i get like that too . whatcha reading ? ” does she read in her spare time ? debatable . it depends on her mood . but jane does have a fair liking for books , so she has that going for her . “ name’s jane ; basic , i know . ” brunette takes the other’s hand with a gentle squeeze , her smile does reach her eyes ! “ do you hang around here often ? ”

LIGHT EYES BLINK slowly , mind processing the girl before her . “ uh trashy romance really , nothing better for light reading . ” the apples of her cheeks turning a bright colour against pale skin . “ & i like your name , it’s perfect the way it is . ” & it’ was , there was no need to shorten it or anything , it was simple & sounded so sweet . just like it’s owner , she thinks with a smile . “ sometimes , home is a little crowded , plus they have the best milkshakes ! ”

“sorry, where are my manners?” The older woman started, noticing the look on the other’s face. “ I’m a friend of Malachai’s. Penny’s the name.” she said with a small smile, holding out a friendly hand. “I always felt the same way when I was in school.” she shrugged, letting go of the other’s hand. “isn’t that what friends of friends do?” she questioned, her brow jumping inquisitvely. “I think that’s a fair trade. Half is fine I suppose.” her smile not faultering.

HER SMILE ONLY turned sweeter at the mention of the boy , man . they’d only met a day prior & yet he brought a smile to the girls face . “ penny ? ” rolled around on candied tongue as if submitting it to her memory . “ rosalie , but mostly everyone calls me allie ! ” mostly everyone , she thinks with such surprising pessimism , cheryl & her mother maybe , maybe a smattering of others that she could count on one hand . “ i SUPPOSE i really shouldn’t complain , it’s better than nothing at all . ” ever the outward optimist , allie blossom was . “ i wouldn’t know , haven’t been here long enough to make more than one or two friends , but i’m always open for new friends , no matter where they come from ! ” this woman was friendly & though no more than a few words spoken between them , allie had already deemed her a friend . even with the age gap . “ how about you supply the burgers & i’ll get the milkshakes & the jukebox & whatever else you want for the afternoon ? ” but knowing her , she’d be humming away to whatever song was playing but she loved the old machine in the back corner !

Penny had taken it upon herself to check in on the possible Ghoulie recurte. Hoping Malachi would appreciate the initiative. Tracking the young Blossom she was right on schedule as school let out. Slinking over she painted a smile on her face as she came into view. “hey hey! How was school?” she question, nodding towards the building. Penny wasn’t really interested in Riverdale’s educational system but knew the small talk would go a long way. “How’d you feel to burger at pops? My treat.”

SHE HAD MANAGED to navigate her way through the day with ease , head down in her books . the less they know the less interesting you were , she thinks . & it’s not laced with a sourness , but with relief , she wasn’t made to be center of everyone’s attention , she was a by passer . maybe that’s why it’s always surprise that colors oceanic eyes when someone calls her out , notices her . because she’s never truly been noticed before . “ oh ! ” eyes turn towards the unfamiliar woman with a smile . “ school is school , doesn’t matter my opinion . ” though riverdale high lacked the resources , compared to the boarding school she was in , but it was a much of a muchness . “ you’re offering to buy me food ? ” confused at first , brows dipping slight before she comes to the conclusion the woman is just trying to be her F R I E N D . “ sure , i’d love to go , as long as you let me pay half at least ! ”

he’s always been the man with the plan, even if the plan was chaotic. right now, his plan was to make as much of riverdale his as he possibly could. he’d already won the southside, penny and the rest of his ghoulies by his side, but he wanted more than that and he’d never been one to back out of a challenge. it’s why he walked into pop’s, a statement made with his entrance and a smirk on his face as he strolled though the diner. he only stopped when a person nearby spoke, and despite not saying anything, he played along. “you deaf, princess? i said you’re in my booth.” he took the seat opposite her then, brows raising and expecting that she would leave any second now.

SHE LEVELLED HIM with a surprised look , lips parted , words dying on her tongue as eyes roamed his face . “ i didn’t know your name was on it , i mean i know jughead likes to tag his spaces & you don’t look like him . ” spoken with a smile in his direction , full of warmth , partly expecting one in return . “ do you mind if i just finish my drink ? i won’t be long . ” questioned with her soft tone , eyes dropping the close to full mug that was cool enough to drink quickly , as she closes her book fully , using her now free hand to tuck strands away from her face .
