The lounge at the Five Seasons certainly wasn’t the Waldorf , but it was the closest thing to familiar Pete had found in Riverdale . The drinks were weak , and the bar deserted more often than not , yet he found himself here on most evenings , like a homesick child wrapped up in their old blanket . Except his comfort wasn’t a threadbare blanket or a worn teddy bear , it was the company of drunk page - six teens , and the lullaby of martini shakers and elevator jazz . Home . If he sobered up long enough to think , it all started to feel a little empty - so he’d decided a long time ago not to . Luckily for him , places like these were in the business of exploiting whichever vice he was intending to lose himself in on any given night . Numbing the pain was their specialty .
“ I heard you , ” he said dryly , not bothering to look up from his half - empty martini to address whoever had spoken . Someone had said his name , then some other words he couldn’t be bothered to comprehend . He might have been asked to move over , or been given nuclear launch codes . It didn’t matter . “ I’m choosing to ignore you . ”
sabrina is here on business , because anyone who KNOWS her knows that the five seasons certainly wasn’t her brand of style . it reeked of privileged mortals , that only had care for themselves and no regard for the world around them . it was exhausting ; she almost preferred the farm to them - and that was saying something ! and with her new found powers , and temper ? there was no telling what could happen if someone did something to make her mad enough to come back home to ambrose , determined to flip through ha grimoire .
“ then i’ll be annoying enough until you give me the attention . ” for some reason , she feels OLD around these kids , tempted to pinch her nose ; and yet ? age wise , they’re the ones older than her . “ you’re in my way . i get that you’re intoxicated , but that DOESN’T excuse you to stand in front of the only door to the offices . ” red lips curl , blue eyes are firey . “ --- and i need to get through . ”
