Marie nodded in agreement with Miranda’s statement. She opened her mouth to reply when the taller man shot flames into the sky. “Holy shit!” Marie exclaimed, scrambling away from the two men. The flames didn’t seem to be harmful, but they were imposing all the same. “Are you insane? There is a time and a place for ripping the walls down like this, and it is not now!” Her words mixed with Miranda’s as they yelled at the figures. Most of the people from the protest were gone, leaving the trampled grass littered with signs and papers. It was obvious that they two of them would be left alone with these lunatics in a matter of minutes.

"No,we're leaving,"said Miranda. She turned, but Dylan caught her by the shoulder and swerved her back around, crushing his lips against her's. Miranda bit down hard on his bottom lip and shoved him backwards before swinging a fist towards his face. He caught it before it could connect.
