Mahesh lunch home
Established by Mr. S.C. Karkera in 1977; Mahesh Lunch Home has spearheaded Mangalorean food to newer heights. Mahesh Lunch Home has now become one of the most desired restaurants for satiating Mangalorean Seafood hunger, for celebrities and families alike.
Mahesh lunch home started from Fort, Mumbai and now has expanded seven top-notch restaurants globally, four of which are in Mumbai. I have visited all four Mumbai branches but I usually go to the Juhu branch.
The food there is simply outstanding. And there is no better place in Mumbai for having seafood. They specialise in Mangalorean seafood but they are no less good in their other cuisine. My personal favourites are Crab (boneless) butter pepper garlic, Lobster tandoori, Tiger prawns and their Seafood soup. I highly recommend Mahesh lunch home if you want to have some Seafood. I don’t remember the last time I had a whole meal in any other restaurant i.e. soup, starter, main course and dessert.
The service is pretty up to the mark so you never have the chance to complain about anything. The staff is very friendly and well-mannered and makes sure that the customers had a lovely hospitality.
Some people may consider the pricing to be expensive but it’s definitely worth it.
I am delighted to have been to this place. Dim light Ambience with a royal feel and of course the interior consists of fish tanks and fish designs. One must definitely be visiting with family and friends or colleagues. It's refreshing.
So overall, I will rate this:
Quality 5/5
Taste 5/5
Ambience 4/5
Seating 4/5
Service 5/5
Value for money 4/5
Total 4/5
Well you burn a hole in your pocket and also during the rainy season the price of the fishes rises as there is limit on fresh catch. However, the overall vibe is just great. There is no match for the food and you will probably leave the restaurant with your heart and stomach filled.
