Petey in Hell

Finally I get to talk about this. So recently I commissioned the same person as before for a little sequel for Payback: The Pleasure of Torment

An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works

TV show Lucifer's Hell cycle is referenced. The Hell Cycle is meant to be a choice, either live in this personal torment or suffer in Hell's own punishments. Petey chose the latter. Hell is eternal punishment and suffering after all...

Petey's punishments are based on the punishments of Dante's Inferno: Pride(torn apart), Envy(in cold waters), and Wrath via inflicting violence on others(shot by arrows).

No matter the choice, suffering and pain is eternal down below.

The entity does not care for the reasons why he did what he did. Every sinner had tried to plead their case, saying if this or that never happened they wouldn't have done what they did. It's all excuses at this point. So Petey was never going to be given mercy from the start. He enjoyed what he did with no ounce of shame or remorse. So the entity will bid him adieu with what his life amounted to.

This doesn't mean we see the last of Petey, he'll be part of a much bigger plot...

To describe the entity... they are complicated. They use to come to serve their master one they are near their fall. But nowadays they are summoned to fulfill whatever deal humans/anthropomorphic animals want. At the end of the day the entity believes mortals to be fickle creatures.

Li'l Petey was created to be killed in attempt to dupe it. Since it was the reason for why the clone was made the entity decided to take responsibility and raise the child. Currently they still reside in Petey's secret lab and managed to get a job as a librarian.

Li'l Petey still remembers his 'papa' and is waiting for him to come back soon. Even though he abandoned him, he'll forgive him.

Halloween is nigh, so for a last spooky post I present more dogman-creepypasta occult ritual crossover drawing. Man in the Fields and Bed of Sorrow!

For context for the top one, out of one desperate attempt Petey did the ritual in order to help his mom. The farmer guy is part of the ritual.

Greg is doing Bed of Sorrow ritual to stop his grief of losing his former life.

I'd like to thank @/tomboyjessie13 for letting me borrow the top part. I tried doing it differently but it didn't work.

I had this drawing of Greg's pov during this horror AU. Quick warning it's kinda depressing in the end. I'd kinda figured that not all went unscathed for him if he'd survived. Uh implied decapitation

I also made a bittersweet ending in the pov. Greg crossed over the rainbow bridge and found peace with his owner.

Crawling out of my hole to remind people that with this current update to Firefox (version 144) they've gone and dumped in their lot with a buncha lil AI tools, namely Perplexity as a new search engine.

So if the sound of that leaves your mouth tasting of tar, here's what you want to do:

In the url bar, type in about:config

It'll give you a big scary warning page that you might poke holes in your browser. Good. You want to do that. Click continue.

One by one, you're going to need to put each of these into the search bar in the page, not up top:

Each of these are gonna have a lil toggle icon on the right hand side that looks like a funky double-ended arrow. Click that and the value next to it should change to false. It all auto saves as you go. Some of these might already be set to false by default and that's peachy.

The next best thing you can do for yourself is to set your default search engine to udm14 or Qwant, but for now, we're just tidying the garden a lil bit.

So I managed to make an art of this horror au. idk what to call it, I was thinking of All Demonic- play on "Part dog, part man, all hero". It was a bit of an internal debate on how to design 'Knight' since Dogman's design makes it a little difficult to tell Knight's skin from Greg's fur, but I decided to just shrug it off for now.

I might make some art of Petey and Greg doing rituals soon.

A small guide for people who struggle with this area

I had this random horror AU idea of Dogman since its October.

In which Petey killed Knight and paralyzed Greg with the bomb. Petey has been enjoying the havoc he caused but also gets bored as there's no challenge anymore. One day he has a feeling of being watched, he catch glimpses of what he believes is a person in the shadows. Eventually the figure reveals itself as Knight but looking like he rose from the grave, head in bandages. Petey, of course, shoots him with a ray gun but it doesn't work because Knight just ignores the gun hole and oh gosh he's a zombie! It becomes a cat and mouse with Petey trying to get rid of him while Knight tries to kill him. There's a lot more details about it, feel free to ask about it if you wanna hear more.

I got this inspiration from The legend of Sleepy Hollow, Candy Corn 2019 movie, and the song Hide and Seek sung by SeeU.

So I'm going to elaborate more onto this idea.

Disclaimer: Do not play the ritual mentioned, I am warning that it's not for those easily scared and I am not responsible for whoever decides to play it.

How it happened is due to an influencer deciding to do the One-Man Hide and Seek Ritual in a morgue. She failed the ritual and ended up running away(a big no-no) thus the spirit is free to do whatever.

Petey tried to kill Knight a second time by decapitation but he just reattached his head. Petey really doesn't know what to do until he realizes he can make a clone. That blipped in his face and he abandoned Lil' Petey in canon. Though he felt bad sooner and tried to find him only to find the box covered in blood. Yeah Petey is in fear and horror now.

Butler does bother him about paying her again but Petey does his usual spiel until he mentions the 'zombie' coming after him. Butler then tells him that there was actually an influencer that did a ritual for clout and show him the video. Petey realizes he needs her to complete the ritual so he sets out to find her.

He manages to find her and convince her to finish the game, she's still shaken up but will do it. They managed to finish it and were in the process of incinerating the body(his head) the body moved. Turns out the spirit far exceeded the time required to finish it. Petey and the influencer make a run for it and now it just got harder. And so, they decide to kidnap Greg, a paralyzed dog that's in a pet hospital, so Knight stays away.

Greg is pretty much depressed at this point and doesn't care that these two kidnapped him, dieing is mercy for him. The two are arguing in the gator car(mobile?) about who's at fault, then she's telling Petey that it's his fault and he doesn't feel guilty about anything he's done. The car flips and it's a brutal crash. Petey gains consciousness and finds the influencer dead, he sees Greg's head and pulls him out only to realize it's decapitated. Freaked out and with no other choice, he goes back to his lab. The headless corpse sees Greg's head and hugs it. Then slowly walks towards the lab.

Petey is absolutely freaking out, all that effort and work is gone and who knows how long till he's caught. Then knocking, in fear he looks at his door slot and he sees Greg staring back at him. He screams and runs to hide as the headless corpse reveals he's attached Greg's head. The dog-man gets inside and searches for Petey, he searches until he stops at the janitorial closest and grabs and axe. Petey is in fear as the door is hacked away. Everything he's done flashes before him as an arm unlocks the door. Petey starts crying and apologizing as Knight-Greg gets closer....

Days later news reports that Petey's body was found in a dumpster, thrown away like roadkill. Dogman muses as they help Lil' Petey get ready for school. This reveals that Knight was never summoned and something else came from the ritual. The influencer screwed up and the Entity decided to use a human corpse. The resentment of the people was the reason why it was summoned, frankly they wanted to know what was up for that to happen. Glad it did, Petey gave it entertainment. They found the kitten harassed by thugs and decided to... scare them off. They were originally gonna leave the kitten alone until realizing he was supposed to die in Petey's place, so they took responsibility for that mistake. This body is strange, it can't tell wether the emotions it had upon seeing Greg hostage was from them or Knight's. It felt grief when it saw the dog's head. Oh well, they're both gone now as well as Petey, it's free to stay. Not like it couldn't leave.

Knight? Greg? Dogman seems to be a preferred name. Thanks to some of it's power manipulating the system was a breeze. As they leave LP at school they reminisce about how the cat was shameless until the end. Though abandoning the kitten was most likely his only regret. But Petey shouldn't worry, for they will give Lil' Petey all the love and care he never could, so eat your heart out Petey.

I like to play around the concept that Petey wouldn't feel guilty about the things he did as a villain. He feels little guilt in the movie but heavily in the comics when he abandoned LP. While it's up to debate there's not really much of Petey owning up to his mistakes other than his kid, and I doubt that Petey wouldn't do so willingly if LP wasn't around.
