I wouldn't call WR heteronormativity given Kris's NBness (the specifics of their NB gender identity is who knows but still), but in my view WR in general is about intrusive thoughts, the nature of abusive relationships and railroading a game to be more akin to "how a RPG would be" not out of necessity, but because of a simple desire to know more, an attempt to break the chains of the story that's given to you only to end up deeper in them. And all for what? All for what?
In Deltrade, some of these themes are there - but it's more about an abusive/toxic friendship/relationship that spirals into criminal territory. After all, there is a reason why Ramb's outfit resembles both Mr. L and a classic crook. There is a reason why the object used to establish control is a bracelet. The feelings might not be the same, but the underlying toxicity, the promises, the chaining, the feeling you are dragging down this person who just wanted to be close to you again after years only to end up in a relationship where you're akin to a parasite inside another is all the same.
You will make this poor man give his everything. You will make this poor man suffer. You will make him build character through his pain and achieve Heaven through violence. You will become poison to him, and make him drown in your sweetness.
