SHATLER’s Mai Tai
The Mai Tai is a true classic and one of the most successful drinks worldwide. This rum cocktail has been exciting numerous followers ever since its year of creation (1944) in San Francisco.
Supposedly, Victor "Trader Vic" Bergeron mixed the first Mai Tai for two good friends from Tahiti, who in response called out: “Mai Tai Roa” which in essence means: "Out of this world, the best."
Of course, we also use only the best for our SHATLER's Mai Tai: Various types of rum, dry orange Curacao, almond and lemon are the ingredients for this sour-fruity taste experience.

SHATLER’s Mojito
Supposedly the Mojito comes from the island of Cuba and is one of the nation’s oldest cocktails. The exact origin of the Mojito is open for debate, tracing back to mainly two different stories. Some say the drink was developed in the 16th Century by the British explorer Sir Francis Drake. Drake and his crew set sail for Havana but there was an outbreak of dysentery and scurvy on board. Since it was commonly known that the local South American Indians had remedies for various illnesses, Drake sent a small boarding party to Cuba’s shore to receive ingredients for medicine to aid his diseased men. The remedy was deemed effective and helped to heal many of the men. The men returned to the ship with four ingredients: aguardiente de cana (a crude form of rum), lime, sugarcane juice and mint. This drink was not initially called a Mojito, but it was the original combination of the ingredients associated with this popular drink. Others say the drink was invented by African slaves working in the Cuban sugar cane fields. The name “mojito ” stems from the African word of ” mojo ” which means to place a little spell. The mojito rose to prominence to the international world when renowned writer Ernest Hemingway became a fan of the beverage after visiting a local Cuban bar called the ” La Bodeguita del Medio “. One of his sayings hangs there today over the counter: “My mojito in La Bodeguita , my daiquiri in the Floridita “. While we may never know the true origin of the drink, the tasty combination of rum, mint, lime and sugar makes this drink unforgettable

SHATLER’s Long Island Iced Tea
There are different stories as to how the Long Island Iced Tea originated. Many believe that the cocktail was invented during prohibition (1919-1932) in the USA.
The appearance and name were supposed to hide the considerable alcohol content.
According to other versions, a bored housewife in Long Island, New York invented the cocktail.
To prevent her husband from noticing, she took only a small bit from each bottle in the liquor cabinet and topped it off with cola.
As a matter of fact, the Long Island Iced Tea first appeared in the late 1970s.
Barkeeper Robert C. "Rosebud" Butt mixed the first Long Island Iced Tea at the Oak Beach Inn in Babylon, New York.
Differing from the original recipe, SHATLER's Long Island Iced Tea is mixed with gin, rum, tequila, vodka, orange liqueur and - derived from its name - tea extract.
The new interpretation of this classic cocktail satisfies with powerful taste and stays true to the original in every respect.
Immerse yourself into the atmosphere of a city that never sleeps.
