The birth of healthy babies is the cause of celebration in the developed world for mothers who enjoy some of the best health care in the world. However in Africa, it can be a life threatening event for mothers.
Muntada Aid believes access to quality maternal health for women is a fundamental human right and critical to reducing poverty.
Our maternal health project focuses on saving the lives of mothers in Sub-Sahara Africa in line with UN Millennium Development Goal Five. We aim to contribute to the reduction of the alarming rates of mothers dying during labour in Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Mali.
