Age regression terms and what they mean: to help you and me understand and remember the terms/their meaning.
Agere- short way of saying age regression (a coping mechanism/trauma response where someone reverts to a younger mindset). Do not confuse this with 4gepl4y.
Little- someone who age regresses as a baby/toddler/kid, but be careful, it’s also used by the k!nk community.
Middle- someone who regresses to a bigger kid/tween/teen age, but be careful, it’s also used by the k!nk community.
DNI (do not interact)- a list of rules people put on their socials so they don’t get triggered and can feel safe.
Sibby- a close friend that you can trust and call your “sibling”.
Caregiver- someone who cares for an age regressor while they’re regressed, helping them to take care of themselves and feel safe and secure, but be careful, it’s also used by the k!nk community.
Petre- pet regression (when someone reverts to an animal like mindset). Do not confuse this with p3tpl4y.
Perma regressor- someone who is always regressed or not “big”.
Little gear- comfort items used to help with regressed headspace.
CGLRE- a relationship (platonic or romantic, but NEVER S3XUAL!!!) dynamic between a caregiver and a little. Do not get this confused with CGL (k!nk dynamic). The “RE” is very important.
Flip- someone who changes between being a regressor and being a caregiver. Switch is the k!nk term.
Pure regression- the “good” part of regression. It can be voluntary or involuntary and it’s usually triggered by something positive. It’s happier regression and usually what you see online. It’s coloring, cute clothing and aesthetics, playing with toys, giggling, and having fun.
Impure regression- the “bad” part of regression. It’s involuntary and usually caused by negative triggers. It’s usually trauma based (or mental health related). It’s not controlled and having tantrums, meltdowns, crying, and big emotions are common. Sometimes you get flashbacks and bad memories. It’s not fun or happy and it’s usually a symptom.
If anything I mentioned is wrong or if I left something out, please let me know :)
