With the Twitter meltdown of 2022, I've decided to return to tumblr in a limited capacity.

Given how difficult this decision is for me with my history on tumblr, I've decided to change the name of my existing blog (previously kevinreader.tumblr.com) and leave it as a living archive of all existing historical blog posts up until today.

I will be kicking off a new tumblr blog under the old name, so feel free to follow if you want to keep in contact (if any of you are even here anymore).

A year ago today, we lost you...

Even now, I can’t find the words to fully express my pain and rage at what happened. Without the full uncensored truth being revealed, without justice being served to those responsible, how can we ever find closure?

I finally visited Seattle this month, the new home you were so excited to show me. I was surrounded by loved ones who helped me through the worst of it, but I found myself constantly asking whether I was walking in your footsteps...

I’ll continue to help your family where I can, your mother is so strong and brave. A real inspiration. I know she won’t ever stop till she gets justice. And I hope to be standing next to her when she does.

I will continue to keep my promises to you, my brother. I will live a life that you would be proud of.

A lot of my tarot card designs and art that had NO inappropriate content at all just got deleted off tumblr...

After six years on here, my blog is now a shadow of what it was for no reason at all.

I have no choice now, I have to pull all my work off here and create my own portfolio blog in the coming weeks.

So shattered that I have to start from scratch. Thought my art (that wasn’t NSFW at all) was at least safe.

Well that sucks...

A lot of my blog posts discussing my HIV status and the “adult content” of living in a serodiscordant relationship are getting flagged as innaprorpiate content for Tumblr and are being removed.

I may not have a choice but to reduce this blog to an limited arts and “kid friendly” space.

Lame.

Another perfectly good adult safe online space destroyed by the “won’t someone think of the children” heteronormative panic agenda - because it’s easier to impact everyone elses experiences instead of taking responsibility for raising your own god damn child that you chose to have.

Pity. I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me through Tumblr and thank me for my honest stories about living with HIV and that it has helped them with their own journeys.

I liked that Tumblr could be a place where your honest lived experience could be shared and help others... guess this is no longer a safe space for everyone.
