Kiss Me Jealous

Here’s my contribution for Murani Day!

Murasaki helps out at Nowhere as the waiter for a bachelorette party. Nice worries. Or: This is actually much fluffier than I intended.

Word count: 1600 Rating: G for General

On AO3.

On a Friday evening after dinner, Murasaki slides his coat onto his shoulders and bends down to tie his boots.

“I’ll be going out now, Nice. I’ll be back very late, or rather early, so don’t wait for me,” he says and grabs his keys. “And go to bed at a reasonable time.”

Nice half sits up from where he’s lounging on the couch and says, “‘Kay, mom.”

Murasaki ignores the comment and is almost out the door when Nice suddenly shouts after him, “Wait, where are you going?”

Murani Day - September 30th

First of all, thanks a lot to everyone who gave feedback on the previous post! You’re a big help and I’m already very excited to see what you’re going to create.

But before that can happen, let me tell you about the rules.

Rules:

Murani Day will be held on September 30th. You may start uploading as soon as the date changes in Japan and until September 30th passes in your time zone. (I will probably check for later entries, too, though so don’t worry if you absolutely can’t make it on time.)

You may create whatever you want in whichever medium you use. You may write, draw, set up a play list, make an edit or whatever you feel like doing. There is no restriction in content, but make sure to tag/mention possible triggers.

Side-pairings are allowed but please refrain from including other ships involving Murasaki and Nice. Since this event is only held on a single day, we want to get as many content for this precious ship as possible.

Please tag your entry with #muraniday within the first 5 tags so that it will properly show up. I will check the tag several times that day and reblog all the posts I can find there. Should I not reblog your post within 24 hours, please contact me with a link to it.

Got any other questions, suggestions or anything else you want to tell me? Just shoot me a message and I will try to help as well as possible.

Hello, everyone.

After a long time of absence I come back with news.

Me and some Murani friends have decided that we would like to host another event for our precious ship. We thought that suddenly doing a whole month-long even again might put a lot of pressure on people so instead I present to you the idea of 

Murani Day!

I would like to host this day possibly at the end of September, which leaves approximately 4 weeks to prepare things. I think this should be enough time that everyone who wants to participate can create things to contribute.

So, for now I would suggest we hold Murani Day on the last day of the month (which is a Friday)

September 30th?

Now, what I would like to know is, who is interested in this event? Who would like to participate, what do you expect? Is the date alright with you? Do you want a set theme or do you want to let your creativity loose? Would you prefer something like a Secret Santa format or would you rather create for yourself/the general fandom?

This is not yet a full announcement, it’s mostly an interest check to set the day up properly.

Hello once again.

First of all: I'm sorry for once again neglecting my work on this blog. I've been going through kind of motivational low, I guess, and I'm supposed to focus on my exams and term papers, but that's all just excuses...

Obviously, Murani month has ended and I finally want to thank everyone who has participated in this event. 

I am aware that unfortunately the last month has been difficult for many of you which is why the participation ended up not being as much as, I'm going to be honest, I'd hoped for. As I said, it was a difficult month for several of us but I hope you have figured things out.

But the purpose of this post is to bring closure to Murani month so I shall go ahead. As mentioned above, I want to thank the people who still found time to post their entries, nguyen28, murasakis-glasses, @koburin, melissawritesstuff, murasaki-sensei, cotton-candy-kokoro, ba-sudei, judette-mathis and just to finish this list, my own main blog, fililikilili.

I tagged every entry with the original poster's url so you can easily find posts made by a specific person. You can also search for certain prompts or for all entries made for a whole week. The easiest way to do this would be to just go to the prompts page and click the prompt/week you want to look at.

And last but not least, I would still like to repeat an event like this at different time, maybe in July/August when most of us are on break. Of course, this will only happen if there's still interest. So please, shoot me an ask and tell me what you think, please? You can do that either here or on my main blog.

MuraniMonth - Freestyle #4

fililikilili and I once talked about Nice being a cat so continuing off of that:

Cat!Nice picks a fight with the other cats in the neighborhood which made him jump up into a tree to keep them at bay. Thankfully, Murasaki chances by and sees the predicament Nice had gotten himself into and walks towards the tree. The cats start scattering because they’re afraid of Murasaki and he starts off sighing. “Again, really,” he says this while extending out his arms.

"Come down now."

Nice more than happily jumps into his owner’s arms. Some cats had stayed behind lying in wait hoping for a chance, what awaited them however was Nice rubbing it in their faces about how he had an owner and they didn’t lmao. I can imagine him just sitting on Murasaki’s shoulder and showing how much higher up he is than the others, and he even has the nerve to stick his tongue out at them as Murasaki carries him away.

You can hear so much hissing in the background it makes Murasaki feel the slightest bit unnerved and he’s scolding Nice while he pets at the troublesome but adorable cat, who started acting all affectionate with the purring and rubbing his head against him because now he gets to go home scot-free.
