tho on that note i should mention dr deals with real trauma in very joke - y, half - serious ways that makes me very .. uncomfortable. so if ur looking to watch it, the first game / series isn’t that bad but des/pair girls is particularly triggering in terms of csa, child abuse, etc. so if you are thinking u wanna get into the series but need to know what to expect beforehand, feel free 2 come ask me!! i can also give you some summaries if u need, and i’ll do my best to give warnings for the games!! dr1 / dr2 aren’t that bad, i honestly dont know what happened in desp/air girls that they made such awful jokes n gags. so anw my point is Please be safe when getting into the series! n also be aware that there is a lot of questionable content, especially from the fandom

Do you know where I could watch DR for free online?

ah, yes!      for the game, there are a bunch of let’s plays online for them – i would rec ro/se ma/tter’s play through, i’ve only seen her dr2 one and i’m currently watching her drv3 one, but she’s been the only user i’ve watched so far to not make gross comments about the characters (the amount of jokes i heard while watching cinn/amonto/ast/ken’s one that literally made light of heavy topics or sounded Extremely Predatory of literal Teenage Girls was .. gross ... staggering .. so anw . would not rec him unless you have zero other choices, but there are plenty of dr1 lps around!!)

for the anime, i know it’s on hulu! that’s where i watched it. maybe on funimation? which i’m gonna do the trial for soon once i’m ready to watch the dr3 anime! it’s a 14 day trial so if you time it right that could work as a free way! i haven’t looked into whether it’s on youtube or smth but i think it should be? i couldn’t find dr3 anywhere tho, but that one hasn’t been out as long

because of past experience, toko doesn’t trust men/boys who are nice to her. she was asked out on bets in the past and otherwise publicly humiliated by boys she had such intense crushes on that she thought she was in love with them. so guys who treat her kindly are very immediately under suspicion, and she’ll be extremely aggressive towards them. this would include, especially, m/akoto.

this would explain her infatuating with b/yakuya, in part, because he isn’t kind to her. in a very backwards, and incredibly toxic manner, toko takes his insults and spite towards her as something genuine. but more especially, and this is smth i’ll explore in more depth in a b/yakuya-specific post, his interest and discovery of her identity as syo is also smth that stokes her obsession. but, moving on, bc that’s not what this post is abt ,,

this trend of hating guys who are nice to her and liking guys who are cruel changes, however, as we see her development in despair girls, which is set directly after her high school experience / the mutual killing game. and it’s largely in part to k/omaru’s influence which is overwhelmingly healthy for toko. she changes dramatically in personality by the end of that game. throughout, she begins to come to understand her own worth and the fact that she has yet to experience a real friendship, which is smth k/omaru offers her. 

the feeling of discomfort / distrust towards someone who is kind to her isn’t just in regards to men –– it extends to anyone, honestly, but it is particularly pronounced in those cases.

i .            this is a private, headcanon based portrayal of t/oko f/ukawa from the d/anganronpa series. this portrayal mostly considers dr1, dr2 and despair girls canon ( details to come on exact divergences and timelines! ). this blog is written by rosebug ( hi ! ) –– 22, she/they, probably low activity! the blog itself is dash only for the time being.

a  note   –––   i have a lot of aus which will eventually be listed out, but chances are i can create something or place an interaction in something that isn’t d/anganronpa related if you don’t know the series well enough! i’ll give you a summary of toko and can most likely mold her to your canon. this includes ocs! i like the idea of exploring toko’s character in multiple universes. let’s party. a big thing to note is that in any verse, she will coexist with her genocider syo persona –– aka .. she’s always gonna be a killer. stab stab b*tch

ii .             i’m not comfy with certain elements of canon, d/anganronpa often oversexualizes its characters and a few of the plotlines/insinuations from the plotlines are incredibly questionable. i won’t list out everything that i don’t like about it but if i see extremely toxic/insensitive portrayals on the dash i’ll likely unfollow –– largely anything to do w. i/ncest, sexualization of a minor, etc. just u kno ... dont be gross

iii .           i will be practicing exclusivity on this blog! only after discussion & interaction ofc! i like 2 have fun and plot w my friends and delve deep into dynamics. i have no current exclusives.

                                                  with  a  huff ,   she  crouches  back  down  to  shut  her  book  and  collect  her  bag  before  slowly  moving  back  to  stand .      she  turns  stealthy ,    wont  to  avoid  any  unnecessary  human  interaction ,    but  she  makes  a  mistake  as  she  rounds  the  bumper  of  the  car  she’d  been  positioned  behind .  the  hem  of  her  skirt  catches  on  a  stray  sliver  of  sharp ,   twisting  metal  as  she  passes .   in  response ,  she  stops ,  a  little  too  sudden  in  her  movement ,    action  prompting  her  arms  to  give  just  enough  so  that  her  book  slips  through  and  clamors  to  the  dirt  ground  below .  features  turn  pink  as  she  realizes  the  noise  of  the  fall  could  pull  unwanted  attention  her  way ,    and  in  a  fast ,    jerky  motion ,  she  kneels  back  behind  the  car  to  avoid  getting  caught .    don’t  see  me ,    don’t  see  me ,   don’t  –––––            /           w.    @paladigm​ .
