Barry/Hartley

Pool

Lisa and Shawna drag Hartley to the pool where there happens to be a cute life guard on duty. Now Lisa knows him because Mick and Len have basically adopted him as a younger sibling and she’s dating his friend.

Well Hartley never learnt to swim and Lisa knows it. So while Barry is on shift Lisa pushes Hartley in the water and both her and Shawna freak out. Barry dives in and gets Hartley out. Maybe Hartley doesn’t wake up right away so Barry starts CPR. Hartley’s kind of in a daze and Barry accidentally blurts out that Hartley’s cute and Hartley gives him his number.

New 52

Barry is friends with his Rouges and so he hangs out with them from time to time. Well he never really figured out just how big of jerks they could be.

The first time it’s Hal that calls while Barry is hanging out with Hartley and James. Hal is trying to get him to come over but Barry’s trying to say he can’t and he’s not paying attention. What he doesn’t see is James handing Hartley something that he puts in his mouth before making really loud moaning noises that Hal takes out of context. To make matters worse James drops himself on Barry and says in a coy voice ‘Come on officer. I found the handcuffs and you haven’t finished his pat down yet.’ Which now Hal thinks Barry is sleeping with two guys. (maybe he knows who they are maybe he doesn’t)

Basically it continues like that with the Rouges. Len, Mick, Mark, Sam. The only ones who don’t do anything like that are Lisa and Roy.

So by the next meeting everyone in the Justice League thinks Barry has a much more interesting sex life (that they did NOT want to know about) than he actually does/

Barrisco

With how much Barry and Cisco probably hang out Barry probably doesn’t knock like he’s supposed to or he does but phases through anyway.

Just one day Barry does it and Cisco is in his bed room. He doesn’t hear Barry so when Barry walks in on him touching himself and moaning his name both are extremly embarrassed but Barry is more than willing to help out.

Len setting Barry and Mick up on a blind date because he’s angry and bitter at both of them. When they get there they’re both shocked (Maybe Mick knows Barry is CSI or he knows Barry’s the Flash now idk)

Well neither really want to stay but the restaurant they got sent to actually has pretty amazing food. It’s a bit awkward at first but they get along and then they agree to meet up again the next week.

It’s not until several months later they realize they’re dating and Len can’t believe that his revenge backfired so badly though he can’t be too mad.

When Barry and Mick hook up for the first time, they’re both expecting it to be a one-night sort of deal. Even aside from the whole superhero-supervillain/badge-criminal vibe they’ve got going on – which makes the sex absolutely mind-blowingly excellent but would indicate a fundamental disconnect that should discourage either of them from thinking of doing it again – they’re not technically compatible. Omegas like Barry, rare as they are, are basically Alpha catnip; Betas like Mick tend to hook up with other Betas (being the majority of the population and all) or with Alphas.

Hell, Barry confesses after the sixth time they hook up (as long as they count each one as a one-night stand, that means they’re not dating, right?) that he actually thought Mick and Len were together, which makes Mick fall off the bed laughing.

“It’s not that funny,” Barry sulks, tossing a pillow at Mick’s head.

“It really, really is,” Mick says sincerely, sidling up the bed and looming over a very receptive Barry. “People keep thinking it, I don’t know why.”

“Maybe it’s because you keep calling each other partner the way most people would say husband?” Barry says, leaning up for a kiss that Mick is more than happy to give him.

Mick hums happily. “Oh, don’t get me wrong,” he says, kissing his way down Barry’s neck. “We’re obviously soulmates. We just don’t fuck, s’all. Not our speed.”

“Well, that’s clearly to my benefit,” Barry says with a gasp as Mick gets to that spot on his collarbone that makes his toes curl.

Not sure if you know about the Men of Letters yet in Supernatural buuut Barry is one of the Men of letters who has this Angel (Lisa maybe?) following him around and just getting on his nerves. Len on the other hand is a Hunter who has this demon (Mick) who is actually helping him somewhat while at the same time just getting in the way. Now obviously Len and Barry don't get along (even more so with one being a hunter and the other MoL) but the Angel and Mick keep teasing them.

omg yes ok I love this so muchso, 1950s-ish. Barry is important to heaven, has a Destiny that he needs to carry out but he rouses so much trouble (even in the men of letters, he’s a lil firecracker) they just sighed and gave him an angelmaybe his mom was killed by a demon who possessed his father, and his life mission is to get his dad back or Henry is in hell or something when he shouldn’t be like Bobby was idkand then there’s Len who is criminal-turned-hunter who works alone and strikes terror into everyone. It’s awhile ago so there a lot less known about demons but Len is like the go to guy to getting rid of them, he’s a demon expert, and gets so good the men of letters put him at the top of their list of hunters(Mick kind of wants to see everything burn. Sure, humans, but beating demons and fucking up hell is more satisfying and idk they burned him maybe. So he works with Len to fuck up other demons.)so Barry gets initiated, and is assigned to deal with Len. Nobody else will. He’s sort of a dick. They can’t stand each other, at all. But Mick knows Len has a soft spot for the kid and Len watches out for him when he gets in trouble and usually Len would knock someone out of they just SHOWED UP on his hunt and nearly ruin everything but he doesn’t when Barry does and so Mick knows, he absolutely knows. Lisa does too. Barry stays up late ranting about Len and pretends to be angry but comes every time he calls and cares a little too much and worries a little too often and works a little too hard on solving problems for him and if that wasn’t enough Lisa can honestly hear things Barry wants and she doesn’t have time to scold his “unholy” thoughtsso Lisa and Mick tease the two mercilessly until the two get over the whole demon and angel thing and then they tease together, which is twice as bad.I love this. give me all the supernatural AUs. all of them.(also Len absolutely helps Barry hunt down the demon Eobard.)

I am surprised I haven't seen more Earth-2 Barrison. 

Maybe Iris’ and Barry’s relationship doesn’t work out so the divorce. Barry is upset because he did lover her that love just changed somewhere along the way. Anyway so being the geek he is he goes to visit STAR labs and get a tour. Maybe the first person he meets isn’t Harry but Jessie. He’s admiring something when she walks up behind him, and makes a comment which results in him geeking out then turning and the two of them end up having a long conversation.

Barry doesn’t recognize Jessie as Jessie Wells and eventually Jessie has to leave though she insists on exchanging numbers because she had fun talking to him. So the two of them talk more, Jessie complain about her dad

‘I mean really? He complained about me cooking yet he managed to burn anything he puts in a microwave. He is a walking hazard.’ They continue to hang out and one day Jessie says.

‘So my dad is convinced that the guy I keep going to talk to is my secret boyfriend.”

“Who have you been seeing?”

“You. I keep trying to tell him that we’re just friends.”

“You’re like a little sister to me.” Barry adds.

“Yeah well, dad still wants you to come over for dinner. He can be protective. At least he hasn’t done a background check on you.” Jessie has this mischievous look in her eyes

Barry goes to the address and thinks Jessie was pulling his leg but she is the one to answer the door. She happily leads him in.

“Dad my friend is here. This is Barry. Barry this is my dad Harrison Wells.” Barry’s brain just sort of short circuits and Jessie has this glint in her eyes that Barry does not like one bit.

Barry/Male Rouges

I don’t know, I don’t care. I just want something, it could be no powers AU or other but basically Barry is sleeping with the male Rouges. Barry is willing to do most things. Mark prefers humiliating him but privately where no one else is watching or can enter. Axel likes the thrill of being caught. Then there is Len, Mick and Hartley. Sometimes it’s one on one, other times he might be with a combination of the three (Len and Hartley, Hartley and Mick, Mick and Len) and then there are the few times where it’s all three men.

Just yeah. IDK I really like this idea...

Hi! I love your fics and I hope ypu dont take this the wrong way. I've read through most of the ao3 coldflash tag by now and it just really really botherssss me that the word phased is being used when the story means /fazed/ (fazed as in the adjective for disturbed etc, phase as in idk phase through like what Flash does or phase like a phase in my life) that's all!!

You know those posts that go around tumblr sometimes that are handy little grammar/language tools? Like they help explain how to use a semi-colon, or common misspellings of words? Well, I saw phase/faze on one of those recently, and I just stared at it and went, “well, shit.” Because legit, I’d never seen the word ‘faze(d)’ spelled out, despite being a native english speaker, so I thought it was all ‘phased’. Apparently, the etymology for ‘fazed’ is that it comes from ‘freeze’ and that’s why it’s spelled how it is. Sigh.

Anyway, I’m not 100% sure if you intended this as a heads up about my writing specifically or if it was other authors you were hoping would see this? I know I’ve had an issue before with a few other word pairs (brunet/brunette because English apparently still carries adjectival gender for random adjectives; choked/chocked because my fingers like to type ‘ck’ automatically I think, etc) and I can add this to my list of ‘close but not the same words that I consistently screw up in my fics’… I’ll try to keep an eye out for it. I don’t think I use the construction for faze (e.g.,“he wasn’t fazed”) all that often (a quick survey of AATJS tells me I’ve misused it as ‘phased’ 4 times in >200k words). Not too many, whew, probably because normally I am talking about phasing through objects, which is the ‘ph’ version. My other works might use it more though, and it’s good to learn and try to fix bad habits, since I’ve been using it wrong at all. 

And honestly, now that it’s been brought to my attention, I kind of want to write Len punning with the word, because… puns :)

So anyway, no problem. I know that sometimes, specific word choice and grammar issues are like “cannot unsee” and can basically cause your eye to twitch every time you see them (or maybe that’s just me). Pretty sure a lot of authors (myself included, until recently) didn’t even know this one was an issue. My best advice beyond that is to just try to ignore it when you see it most of the time unless the author invites grammar/typo revisions as feedback (which I do, for the record! Editing is hard and I’m lazy…), but I appreciate you letting me know about it :)

Flashpoint: It’s The End of The World As We Know It

See, the whole point of the Flashpoint plot in the comics is a kind of thought experiment: What happens to the world if you change nothing else about it except removing the existence of The Flash? And the answer unfortunately turns out to be that everything goes to absolute 100% Grade-A shit in Central City if The Flash never exists. Like think of a way that life in Central City could be ghastly and hellish and that’s how it is - that’s what Barry changing the past does in Flashpoint. 

@coldtomyflash has put together a Citizen Cold Info Pack that summarizes a lot of what happens with all of the characters in Flashpoint well. I do think The Flash has been building up to it all season, including bringing back Hartley Rathaway so that he can play out his role in Flashpoint next season, so read at your own risk - it is probably full of show spoilers and comic spoilers. So it’s a good read, but read at your own risk. :)

Basically, without giving too much away, one of the BIG consequences of Flashpoint is that Leonard Snart never develops his moral code without Barry there to keep him in check, provide some kind of moral compass and draw some lines in the sand.

You know how on the show, all the dopplegangers have common threads and similarities with each other? It’s like that in the comics, too. And every doppleganger of Leonard Snart, no matter what, is a criminal genius. In most versions, his pettiness and cynicism prevent him from doing real good. Snart dopplegangers ALL run the gamut from grudging anti-hero to total out-of-control maniac. A big variant factor is his relationship/dynamic with Barry Allen. Without The Flash on Earth 1 to act as his foil, Leonard basically loses his mind and becomes a desperate megalomaniac. 

It really can’t be overstated: A LOT of really, really bad shit goes down because of Flashpoint and the vast majority of it is due to Citizen Cold.  A lot of current fan-favorite characters die because of Flashpoint, and a lot of the ones who survive go through absolute hell.

So, I just want fans to be ready because I know some people already are very upset. And I see a lot of fans on the show tags excited about the possible “return” of Leonard as Citizen Cold. But I really do think that we have to brace ourselves for the possibility that Flashpoint Leonard Snart is going to be next season’s Big Bad. 

And I have no doubt it’ll be hugely interesting and compelling if they go there, and that it will dive very deep into the dynamic between Barry and Leonard, something both actors have repeatedly said they want to explore. And that’s awesome. But I also think that for the fans who are already very invested in the Len that died on Legends Of Tomorrow, and are hoping this will somehow bring him back, it’ll likely be - er, sorry - a very cold comfort.

A Lesson on Speedsters and Ages.

I’ve seen some more harassing in the Eobarry and Coldflash tags, and even cries of racism and such, and I just want to set some things straight.

For starters, Barry is an adult. He can make his own choices, seriously. If he chooses not to date Iris, it isn’t racism. He’s tried that path so many times on the CW Flash run, who can blame him for giving up? And if he chooses to date Harrison, one of the few people who almost treats him like an equal, or even Eobard, which is a fun dynamic to explore, let him do so! He’s an adult. A 27 year old adult. He might look young, but he is 27. And I think that’s more than old enough to be able to make informed choices about who you want as a romantic partner.

And the age thing, if the age differences weird you out. Barry’s a speedster. He can move through time. He can go visit his boyfriend of choice any time, any where. Time is so fluid for us speedsters [[As anyone can see with myself in the DC Rebirth]].

Plus, I really don’t think Barry would want you hating on his ships anyway, regardless of the ship. He tends to have a big, open heart for everyone, and he’s always more in favor of love and tolerance than hate.

So shippers, enjoy what you ship, love what you ship, and have fun!

I bought this hat last month (Finally, I had been wanting to get it for the past year or so but I always forgot to actually bring money for it.) and I have not stopped wearing it. Everyday I go out I have this hat on and the one day I wore my Reverse-Flash barrette instead I felt like something was missing.

It’s super comfy. Of course then while in Philly my mom pointed out the Marvel version. My response to that was that at least I knew everyone on my hat. No one could figure out who the woman in green next to Widow was. Not even my marvel geek sister...

Can anyone tell me who it is???
