(tw: parental neglect, parental death, cancer)
Murphy Windsor was born tucked deeply into the opulent trenches of Emerald Mist, Kismet Harbor, where she was raised inside of the Sunset Ridge Townhomes to Claudia Windsor, a high-society socialite who was hard-nosed and always prioritized appearances over emotions, and Reginald Windsor, an alcoholic lawyer who epitomized neglect and allowed his wife to dominate their household while drowning his own sorrows in work and Jim Beam. Murphy's life was shaped by the delicate dance between the expectations from her mother and her own aspirations. Because of Claudia's coldness, it was instilled into Murphy a deep-seated belief that her worth is tied to her look's and her family's status. The relentless pressure to be perfect imbued her with a blunt demeanor, often coming across as harsh and unapproachable. She grew accustomed to an emotional void, longing for connection, yet often pushing others away with her standoffish attitude. It didn't help that the young woman entered the world of ballet, emerging herself even further into the kaleidoscope of perfectionism and detachedness.
Despite the seemingly glamorous life she held, Murphy's only true companion was her twin brother, her built-in best friend. However, the siblings diverge in their approaches to life; Murphy is more focused and serious with her ballet studies (though parties from time to time to take the edge off), embodying the rigors of a ballerina's discipline. Her twin, on the other hand, was a wild party animal, constantly up to no good and had their mother's head on an exasperated swivel.
Ballet was Murphy's only escape up until she turned eighteen. By then, she didn't know who she was outside of it. Her brother went off to Princeton, where he became the sad epitome of a frat boy, meanwhile his twin sister had no idea where to start. Fortunately, she had a trust fund to utilize, taking herself across the globe in her private jet to coast around the world and off of her good looks, in between her ballet sessions and recitals.
What officially dragged her back home to Kismet Harbor in March of 2026, after being in and out of town for nine years, was the formidable phone call she'd received from her twin. Their father was dead. Liver cancer which took him hastily. He didn't even have time to be sick. It was all Murphy could do to not completely break. She was angry. She was sad. She was relieved. All of the above. Not one emotion could be pinpointed inside her brain. So, Murphy let go. She let go of her rigidity and discipline. She gave up ballet. She stopped showing up at the dance studio. What was it all for? Who was it all for?
After the week of the funeral, Murphy decided to stay back in Kismet for good, gaining a place above The Daily Drip in Crestill Meadows (one place she knew her mother wouldn't go looking), learning to reel from her father's passing and figuring out how to get back to ballet without feeling completely vulnerable. For the time being, she was a party animal, just like her brother.

Seeing a sign for a yard sale, Phoebe stopped and started looking through the tables to see if there was anything that interested her; which a lot of things were. A few books, movies, then knickknacks and even clothes were looking cute. It was hard to pick things and she needed to start deciding. Turning to someone, she held up a Nirvanna band-tee and a cat knickknack. "If you had to chose one, which would you pick?"
"Fuck no, I was just passing by," Murphy snapped, only then to finally glance at the band shirt the girl was waving in the air. "Is that even a question? Nirvana all the way. At least I know now this town has one person in it that has good taste that isn't me."
Eddie was at Cedar Grill a little early and was working on some menus in the office. He had added a few thing to the summer menu and wanted to get them out before the menus went to get lamented. He was about to finish up when he heard something in the restaurant. He thought he was the only one there and now was questioning if he left the door unlocked. Grabbing a stapler, he walked out of the office slowly and looked around. "Hello?" He called out and he heard a footstep. "I have a stapler and I'm not afraid to use it!"
Murphy wouldn't be caught dead eating carbs, so her only purpose in walking into Cedar Grill was to use the restroom briskly before continuing getting her ten-thousand steps in for the day. The moment she waltzed back into the lobby, she overheard a male's mild threat, snorting at it. "If I die by a stapler, then I'll be even more pathetic than that threat. Relax, Liam Neeson, I was just using the bathroom."
