It started out a normal workday when Maxwell Strong headed into the mines with his team. The day took a turn when Miner Max bored into a new chamber and a plume of gas escaped the new opening. Suddenly the former strongman/bodybuilder was enveloped in a strange green gas, causing him to pass out.

When he came too, suddenly the walls of the mine felt even more claustrophobic than normal. As his hearing returned he heard his fellow miners calling his name, though their voices seemed more muffled, softer than normal.

He began to stand up and his hardhat collided with the ceiling, which was odd give the shaft was at least 20 ft tall.

He came too and realized...the gas had cause him to GROW. His height and muscles had exploded with new size. He looked downward and saw his miner friends, now looking very...minor. They weren't even knee height to him. He realized he had grown. A LOT. He grinned as he felt his new strength, his new power. His muscles bulged and pulsed with energy.

Now the question was, could he even squeeze himself out of the mine... Or another thought came to him...maybe he could punch his way into the new chamber to inhale some more of that strange gas...and grow more and more, rising up out the ground like the an ancient god.

That thought excited him.
