Making good costumes isn't easy and neither is taking good cosplay photos. Like a fashion or a movie shoot, there is behind-the-scenes magic that goes into bringing the cosplay to life.
THis is a costume I made for a friend back in 2011, the black parts are made from a material called leatherette and we made a skin collar tank top to save her some modesty, none the less I think she looks cute as Simon!
I some time work on Wedding Dresses and here is some progress shots of a dress I was worked on last summer. I didn't make the dress but I altered it, I pulled it up he waist so it wouldn't be so long and added the lace up detail in the back as it was too small for the client.
My sewing machine had to go to the doctor a week and a half before Anime north, I'm so happy it is home.

This is amazing!! I’m making one myself, and for the life of me I can not find wooden rings for the eyes and mouth! May I ask where you got your/any suggestions you may have?
I got mine on eBay and luckily for me they were the perfect colour! Just search wooden napkin rings :)

Progress of a skull mod I'm doing for a costume. Working on Alice from Madness returns this will be her bow skull. I took a skull I got during halloween and shaped it with a razor knife. I still need to add paint as I so far have only put gesso on it.
This is society for everything, if you are considered “conventionally attractive” than whatever you do it’s appealing. However if you are considered to be less attractive than whatever you do it’s wrong.
This deserves so many notes. I have heard all of the black quotes behind my back. It’s really demoralizing.
