The creature and Elizabeth (Original painting below)
THIS IS INSANE WOW
they are friends :)
PADDINGTON MY BELOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRULY THEY ARE FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can’t stop thinking about the scene in frankenstein 2025 when the creature asks for a companion with a small hopeful smile on his face. only for victor to immediately become disgusted, immediately jumping to the concept of them “procreating” and breeding more monsters. and it cuts back to the creature with such a sad confused expression it absolutely broke my heart. he genuinely just wanted a friend and it almost seemed like he didn’t even know what victor was implying
Drew this for my partner 💘🩸
frankenstein (2025) is a movie about the cycle of violence and the inevitability of violence and about the miracle of being kind. it is a beautiful and touching adaptation that takes a unique view of some of the story’s focal points while staying true to the novel’s themes. it is also a movie that aims to remind us that the original creature textually had long flowing locks, for which I think we should all be thanking del toro specifically
oh what a cruel fate to be kind and cursed to live forever
WHO ELSE UP FRANKEN THEY STEIN RN
Happy GDT Frankenstein (2025) streaming day ;)
