On October 22, 2023, an airstrike destroyed the house I was in — my grandfather’s home. It was the heart of our family.

I was there with my mother, my sister, and my three younger brothers.

When the missile hit, everything turned to smoke, blood, and silence.

My mother and sister were killed instantly.

My brothers and I were pulled from the rubble, injured — but alive.

Moments later, my father arrived at the hospital.

He didn’t know if any of us had survived. He ran through the halls, searching.

Al Jazeera Mubasher filmed that exact moment — the moment he found us.

This video isn’t easy to watch. But it’s the truth.

It’s the moment my father found his sons alive…

and learned that his wife and daughter were gone.

why did ren ask nana to marry him? I don't remember very well but I think because of yasu

In chapter 51, Ren does claim that proposing to Nana was the only way he knew to chase Yasu out of her heart, so yes I think in part it's that. We talk a lot about Nana's abandonment issues, but Ren has his own host of issues regarding abandonment and has a lot of his is over possessive traits.

That said, I do think Ren's also made it clear that his ultimate dream is to have a family with Nana. To have children, but also I think to be married is something that symbolizes family too. He doesn't understand what marriage is, just sees it as a piece of paper, and yet he knows it means something. He wants that, however unconsciously it is imo.

But yep, first and foremost it's jealousy of Yasu with Nana.
