she finds him only minutes after the start of her search, knowing that checking the roof would most likely lead to success. going up here reminded her of new years when the two of them (along with yuki) watched the sun rise. she'd never forget the look of determination on his face as he made his promise. she admired it. admired him. she’s careful to make sure she doesn’t trip and fall on him on accident (transforming him into a cat would only make him angry) as she takes her seat next to him. usually, she wasn’t one to act so impulsively, but for some reason, she was compelled to lean in close and kiss him on the cheek. it was so brief- the instant regret, panic washing over her as she pulled away. “oh my gosh i’m so sorry i don’t know why i did that! i should’ve asked first- i’m so sorry!” (2/2)

when he heard her call out to him , he half expected her to state that dinner was ready , or that something ( un )eventful had taken place without him . umber hues tore themselves away from staring up at the sky && instead , landed ‘pon her as she made her way over , brow raising curiously and offering a soft ‘ hn ’ in response . he didn’t take his eyes off of her until she fully sat down , prepared to grab her should she fall ( perhaps even catch her , though he wouldn’t admit to going that far . he just … couldn’t let her get hurt , doing something this stupid ) . expecting her to continue , his gaze returns to the sky , but no follow - up came .

that is , until soft lips gently brush against his cheek , causing his eyes to widen && heart to skip a beat before settling in the pit of his stomach , thousands of thoughts rushing through his head at once due to the simple act of affection  . she was apologizing , but he wasn’t truly listening .

    who could love an ugly , vile creature ?

         no one loves monsters .

            nothing good ever came from being year of the cat .

                if she knew the real you , she would leave in a heartbeat , like everyone else .

&& yet , despite those thoughts , surprisingly her voice was the one to cut through them all .

            ‘ i’ve always loved the zodiac cat ! i wanted to be the year of the cat ! ’

she really meant it , huh ?

hands clench into fists as blush that initially formed from the kiss grew brighter and brighter , an unease in his stomach that was telling him to run , run as fast as he could into the trees to avoid embarrassment and yet … he stays put .

“ … ’s fine , ” he finally mutters , breaking the silence that he created . yes , there was unease – anxiety – building but … he felt warm , too ( is this what true acceptance felt like ? she stated that she didn’t know why she did it , && yet … ) . he watches her carefully , trying to determine what he should do now . should he – should he return it ? he didn’t … know , this was different than with kagura . teeth chewed on the inside of his lip nervously for a good moment or two before he finally leant over , hesitating for a split second before placing a quick && sheepish kiss on her cheek as well , lips vanishing from her cheek as fast as they were placed on it .

“ just – don’t tell anyone , yeah ? && don’t get the wrong idea , either ! ”

god , he thought , if this is a dream … don’t wake me up .

He was tired of playing nice , pretending to be oh so forgiving and caring toward the girl – He had no true reason to act as such , did he ? it certainly wasn’t for yuki’s sake , nor shigure’s , nor … anyone’s . a facade of empathy , through && through until it was time for it to crack , to break apart at the edges and crumble , revealing the true enemy within . “ remember that , tohru honda . in this family , you are nothing . an outsider who i have so graciously allowed to live with my family . && i can take it all away just as easily . you may be under shigure’s roof , but it is only because i allow it . you eat at his table , because i permit it . you remember , if only for the moment , because i have not given the order to make you forget . ” He steps closer && closer until the gap between them is closed , hand reaching up to cup her cheek . to make her look at Him . she’s seen Him in this position once before , with yuki at their school. oh , how different it must be , to stop being the one witnessing tragedy && instead , have tragedy embrace you , no matter how familiar you think you are with it . “ do you really think differently ? that shigure is doing this out of the kindness of his heart ? that yuki sees you more than a means to fill the hole in his heart , that the monster living among them is truly capable of understanding what he may feel for you , if he feels anything at all ? they love an idealized version of you , one made up from their fantasies , delusions of grandeur based on things that they want . that they feel they deserve . ” fingers slide from her cheek to grab at her jaw , though His grip wasn’t tight . He may be ready to break the facade , but to physically harm her … that would go against what He would want , as He could easily see how it would push her further into the arms of yuki && kyo . “ when they realize this , when they realize what they love is a lie , they’ll come back to me . they always do . ” they always will . He needed them to . “ there is no place for you here , tohru honda . ”

okay so the plan was to draw her in some cute outfits, maybe ones that she wouldn’t usually wear but i think she might wear some of these anyway. i thought maybe she could try keep up with kyo and do some workouts in her fake ass adidas yoga pants. im also obsessed with exercise clothes right now and im not sure why.

anyway, let me know which ones you love/hate in the comments and tags and if you’re interested in seeing more! i have plans to *maybe* do this for kyo and then 3 outfits for everyone else. let me know if you see an outfit you like. i will 100% be putting kyo in some floral fake adidas too.
