My piece for @museumzine
What is this project?
This project is for creating a 78 card tarot deck featuring original object head characters.
What are object heads?
Object heads are characters that have objects for heads. They may or may not have facial features. What are tarot cards and what do they mean?
Tarot cards are a tool used for divination (divining, or reading, usually the future). They can be used to answer questions about upcoming events, questions about current events, or even provide insight into past events. Each card has its own meanings (can be upright or reversed, with each usually having different meanings). For more information, see https://www.biddytarot.com/learn-tarot/ .
How do I join this project? Applications will be open from February 12-March 12.
What do artists need to apply?
3 examples of illustrations representative of the style you plan to use as well as a portfolio. Subjects do not have to be object heads, but they are preferred.
How will artists be compensated?
Each artist will receive a tarot deck, and if more money than is needed to supply contributor decks is earned, profit will be split evenly among contributors.
Tentative schedule
Interest check: January 21-February 11
Application: February 12-March 12 Acceptance/rejection: March 18 Creation period: March 19-June 21 Preorders: June 16-July 14
