i think the most important reactions ive seen to the super bowl halftime show with Bad Bunny aren't from the newsmedia or variety of youtubers, it's been the reactions from the people who are just posting that they felt seen, saw their culture being represented in a grand & spectacular way, and were moved enough to cry.

the super bowl show has every opportunity to be a soulless piece of pop whatever in the middle of a giant advertising fest hosted by a billion dollar industry that has zero ethics..... but instead we got something with so much soul, so much heart, and something that genuinely moved people in ways that are beyond words... and that's what art should be doing.

tl;dr: super bowl shows can be awful but instead we got something that is meaningful to so many people and to this moment in history and that's pretty special so we should acknowledge it.

in case anyone is media illiterate, that half-time show was a big f u to whats going on in this (usa) country rn with ICE. naming all those countries, CELEBRATING them. celebration of culture is a huge protest against a regime intent on killing it bc they hate to see us proud and unashamed of who we are and where we come from.

The kid that bad bunny gave his grammy to during the halftime show was not Liam Ramos, the child kidnapped by ICE.

No reputable sources are reporting that, it's just random twitter accounts, and I highly doubt bad bunny would be disrespectful enough to put a traumatized child in the public eye more than he already has been. It was probably a child actor meant to represent young Latino children as a whole.
