Desmond Jones, a Mid-Michigan band, performed their songs Mississippi and Get Along here at MusicBrackets. After watching this performance, you can really see how much their talent shows through during this acoustic set. Their sound comes through as a mix of jam and funk jazz music. The band is made up of John Nowak (Drums, Vocals, Guitar), Isaac Berkowitz (Guitar, Vocals, Drums), Chris Bota (Guitar, Vocals), George Falk (Saxophone, Vocals), and John Loria (Bass). Lead singer Isaac Berkowitz's voice really shines through during these songs and you can tell how much this band enjoys playing and singing together. Take a listen yourself and enjoy the sound of Desmond Jones .

Motherfolk joined us for a fun interview at Bunbury Festival in Ohio. This indie rock band is made up of five talented musicians that play a range of instruments. They have currently been in the studio recording their second full length album. Their upcoming shows will be on June 19th at The Basement in Columbus, OH. Following that they will be playing in Cincinnati on July 3rd. So if you're in the area make sure to check them out!

Cincinnati was hot! hot! hot! the weekend of the Bunbury Music Festival. Luckily we were able to schedule some interviews with the performers at the festival. Having these interviews scheduled got us into their air conditioned trailers. Kid Runner was one of these bands that enjoyed the air conditioning as much as we did. This high energy pop band loves Snoop almost as much as they love making music. Check out our interview with them to hear more and learn about them and upcoming events on their website !

When we met Less is More way back in December, they invited us to their show at Mac’s Bar. It was there that we discovered another Lansing folk music group. While we were at Mac’s we didn’t actually talk to Rachel & Alex we just took a stalker-ish photo of them for our instagram page. Rachel & Alex are a young duo that just finished and released their first EP, “Nights Like These”......

Musicians are known to be late. They are creatives, going against the grain of everyday life. Independent artists usually have regular jobs, on top of having to schedule times to practice, write new material and book their own shows. Outside of their day job, most of this is done for little or no money. So when it comes to being on time, it is probably the least of a musician’s worries......
The electronic alternative rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio took the stage early Sunday morning to perform for a very large hometown crowd at the Bunbury Music Festival. While onstage the four piece group had the entire crowd waving their arms along with the music. After their performance Pluto Revolts had a large line of (mostly) girls vying for their attention.
If you’re looking for some real soulful music, you should definitely check out Ayron Jones and The Way. I’m not talking about the basic kind of music that may have you nodding your head or swaying every once in a while. I’m talking about that free rock, feel-good, make you want to close your eyes, reach you all the way down to your core kind of music. If that’s what you’re looking for, you've come to the right place. Coming from Seattle Washington, Ayron Jones and The Way have been together for six years now. They play music that has a good mix of blues and grunge, giving off that true Seattle Sound. This summer they’ll be performing across the nation, from Mississippi to Colorado to Oregon, sharing their music with the world. We had the pleasure of interviewing Ayron and getting to know a little more about him.

Monte Pride II came back to our studio for another performance, showing off some new songs. The solemn, steady sound, paired with harmonious vocals, is consistent in each of the tracks, sending the listener into a calm state of daydreaming. So kick back, relax, and unwind to "Dead Man's Mantra," "January's Full," and "Why I'm Alive."

Less is more came to our offices back in December. They did a great interview for our Who's Next interview. We recorded their version of Breezblocks by Alt-J that sounds like an original on it's own.
Music Brackets
Music Brackets had an exciting opportunity to speak with The Werks about the band and their upcoming shows for their current tour. The bands members consist of: Chris Houser, Dino Dimitrouleas, Dan Shaw, and Rob Chafin. Not only are they touring the U.S. right now, but they have had their very own musical festival in Ohio, The Werk Out Festival, going for six years strong. They are currently working on a new studio album throughout their tour, impressive right? I’ve had the opportunity to see them live now in Lansing, and this summer I will be seeing them at Electric Forest AND Summer Camp Music Festival! I am so beyond excited! They are also coming to The Loft in Lansing April 23rd, so if you haven’t heard of this awesome jam band, make sure to take a listen before reading their interview!

Orlando hard rock act Blessing A Curse has released a music video for their song "Down The Rabbit Hole". The plot follows a murderous villain whose face is concealed by a creepy bunny mask and ends with quite a twist. The video originally premiered with Revolver.
