was   she   the   perfect   woman ?          no , not on any planet or in any society . in   fact ,   the amount of times she’s been insulted on not being ‘ lady - like ’ or the sorts has been     too   many   times     for her to count . nonon jakuzure was sure that people could count her   ‘ negative ’   traits more than they could count her positive ones : it was all perspective . even if a peek into the pages he scrawled on her could be a   bit   of a blow to her ego : how to deal with her , like she was a   pet ,   what to do when she was mad , like she was   unhinged .   there’d be nights where she cursed that damn thing : much like now .

pink   bangs   were   blown   out   of   her   face ,   arms   crossed   across   her   chest .          she sat with her knees at either side of his hips with a piercing glare shot towards him .   yeah ,   she was still pissed off . even after several hours away from the apartment , nose buried in sheet music .          “     you said you didn’t know why you     loved   me .     ”          grumbled ,          “     it was sarcasm , i didn’t think you’d   have   to fucking check the notebook . y’know , i kinda   hoped   my partner wouldn’t have to look up his feelings for me , but , wishful thinking .     ”          hands now toyed with it , flipping through the pages with a   narrowing   stare . getting even further frustrated she tossed it to the side .          “     tell me what you learned . go ahead .     ”

the   more   he   rambled ,   the   less   angry   she   got .          going off script , she   figured ,   hands cupped his face : she’d let him drawl on for a few minutes before she finally shut him up . a sigh through her nose before a   quick   kiss on his lips . forehead rested against his with her eyes shut : as much as she   didn’t   like to admit it , the idea that her cons outweighed the pros could eat at her some days . nonon wanted her name   praised   to high heavens , absolutely , but it was   grounding   to hear him speak of her like that : a human . in their silence , he muttered     “i   just   want   you   to   know   that   i’m   truly   thankful   to   have   met   you.”     a deep breath and she opened bubblegum eyes again .

“     same   here ,   big   guy .     ”          conductor sheepishly looked over at the notebook strewn on the ground . lips   slanted   a bit in a frown ,          “     guess i was bein’ a bit of a bitch , huh . . .     ”          stated rather than asked under her breath . thin arms wrapped themselves around his neck and head rested against his once more .          “     sorry . just . . . got   really   pissed for a second . should’ve known better . love you ,   dork .   lots .     ”          even if i suck at showin’ it .

❛ OF COURSE NOT, THE PERFORMANCE WAS MARVELOUS. ❜ His inital complaint had nothing to do with the conductor nor the bands wonderful performance. Kunikida’s intention for stating such was that he’d hope she’d bring it up to whoever was in charge of running this event. punctuality is important & to function without it is illogical.  So delaying something can sometimes be of an inconvenience to others ( this applies to him as well ) & those in charge should be mindful of that, sadly this means more working overnight in the office. But that was neither here nor there. The conductor at first glance was rather small once he got a better look upclose, though she looked to be around his age bracket & for someone as young as her to be able to perform so beautifully left a rather strong impression on him. ❛ I bring up the complaint not to put a damper on the mood, but rather to be self aware. I’m already late returning to the office, but it’d also be rude for me not to let the performers know how tremendous of a job they’ve done. ❜ He could spare a few more minutes before heading out, the music was so uplifting that even some of the stress from the day had seemed to disappear. Maybe they have cd’s for sale, music like this would be very beneficial to have in the background, whether he’s working or not. ❛ I wanted to know if I could get the name of the young talented music conductor & when there might be another performance, I’d love to attend again, if my work would allow me the free time that is. ❜

valid   complaints ,   sure .          the conductor would always work with the manager for months before a show , managing and talking to multiple at once : it could get   messy   and mixed up , sure , but she handled it like a champ . a pro . even if shows were delayed by thirty minutes for something on the staff’s end , it was just   more   time   for her to ensure everything was in check , that every box had a tick through it . a sigh through her nose :          “     i understand . but a   delay   for you also means a delay for us . apologies for the fact you’re late back to your office .     ”          maybe you should’ve allotted for that , she   thought ,   yet bit her tongue as not to offend someone   interested   in another show . her image was important , after all . most of the time , crude woman   wouldn’t   have held back : but one - on - one with him ? now she had to show some restraint . it could be a   blessing   or a   curse   that he didn’t know her previous nature : offended that she could come off as   uninterested   or rude , or her facade worked   brilliantly   and she was just a liaison for senatorial staff . pink eyes reignited with a   spark   and cocking of her eyebrow . the compliments towards her band mates made her heart   soar   with pride : of course they were wonderful !!! she’s been with them since their first day , their   first   performance , and now : they were better with each show . corner of her lip curled upwards , a   smirk   when the attention turned directly towards her . her favourite part !!! nonon giggled , hand curling near her chin with an eyebrow quirked upwards . a hand offered towards him ,          “     nonon jakuzure . pleasure .     ”          for him .          “     there’s going to be another performance in two months ,   different   venue .     ”          head tilted and smirk spread wider ,          “     how   loyal   are you tryin’ to be ?     ”          a joke . . .     kind   of .
