I should really change my blog description to be something like “random mutterings into the void…”

I think some of the billionaire criticism comes from fans (the call is coming from inside the house) and others take their cues, apart from the haters who have no nuance. I remember when Kylie J was closing in on $1B her fans were excited for her (different fan base, different values), and Rhianna has been celebrated as has Selena. It’s strange. I think Taylor just has a loud minority that finds money and success distasteful.

I think “Taylor fans” are pretty much a wide swath of diverse people. So yeah some are going to fall into that ideology just as a natural consequence. Also when people talk about Taylor’s fans they are usually only talking about a small part of her fans…the chronically online portion.

I agree many fans online take their cues from other fans and I’m not sure they even really believe or fully understand some of the stuff they are agreeing with or pushing…or just joining in to get included in a way. Plus like you said some are actually haters and not even fans.

There are people in the real world that honestly hold certain economic beliefs that genuinely come to that belief thoughtfully. I don’t want my comments to be misinterpreted to say there isn’t an argument for overconsumption and such.

I don’t think this tells much about Taylor’s reaction (at the time) though because it seems Taylor had not seen the finished product yet. She seemed more surprised that based on the interviewer it implied people had seen it and it made no sense to her. The interviewer kind of got caught on that one though which is kind of awkward and funny.

really wish that young people understood what the term “net worth” really means. Taylor gets so much shite for being a billionaire because the internet thinks she has a billion laying around in her checking acct. GP was generally excited that she bought her masters, but when the acquisition of her music put her at the billionaire threshold. It’s suddenly a problem. Taylor said she wanted her catalog, so she can own her creations and not for the monetary returns it would provide her. No real question, just an observation.

I’m not sure if it’s an age thing or just an ideology thing. It probably has a lot to do with jealousy and resentments too (justified…or not)

It’s interesting to me because I look at all this differently. I think it’s something to admire and even something to motivate you if you have that ambition. Not sure when the ideology turned into working hard and turning your passion into something others invest in on its own became something evil.

It’s a very narrow view and in my opinion fails to put the focus on what actions and circumstances actually do make having money/power “evil” or corrupting and harmful to others.

I wonder if Andrea’s Great Dane, Kitty, likes other animals.??? Do you think he’s too soft and cuddly to be a Howard??? For some reason, I like a name that sounds like he could possibly be an accountant? Or how about Reid Kelce, pay homage to his other father figure

Didn’t they have other dogs with Kitty at some point too. I seam to recall a smaller dog being around in some pool video or something?

Now that has some heft behind it. They could call him King too if they need to shorten it up. I like it.

so this dog won’t be Great Pyrenees big but maybe medium to large? I get male dog vibes, like Travis gets a buddy to hang with (sorry Benji). If *I* named him the after Adam Sandler movie, I would call him Gilmore. Another movie character that might be inspiration is Rocky Balboa. He’d make a very cute Rocky. Think of that theme music as he’s prancing down the steps of his private jet.

Boy dogs often have better temperaments too in many breeds…and yeah Travis needed to even up the numbers for him and Benji 😂

I could go with Gilmore I suppose…a little nerdy but more fitting to grow into then Happy. Happy is a puppy name. He needs a more serious call out as he becomes an adult.

it’s nice to have you back! Gotta say I am SO charmed by the dog. He’s frisky and floofy and perfect. I’ve been leaning towards Happy Gilmore (aka Gilmore) as the name but with a potential swerve towards Conan the Barbarian for the lolz.

Have we got confirmation yet on boy or girl dog? He looks so fluffy like a marshmallow. That breed gets big right? I did giggle seeing him/her prance off the jet like an a-lister 😂

He/She is going to need a big name to grow into. Would you call him happy or Gilmore? Happy Gilmore is too much of a mouthful to full name him on the regular.

I feel like he/she needs a more serious name. I’m not sure what character (if we keep the character name theme going)…just something with some ooomph.

We all agree with your take on posting Taylor hate, but people are afraid to LIKE it. I’m so tired of the fandom giving us constant updates on exes, complaining about Taylor hate tweets, but including links to said viral tweet in the ask.

Why are we rewarding Taylor hate??? how does posting Taylor hate make aggression go away?. As much as I want to see the wedding dress, I would wait forever, so trolls and content creators can be denied the monetary and serotonin fix they get from being cruel. Everyone has their breaking point, but I do wonder if taylor will go unseen for long periods of time in the coming years? I wish her peace more than anything. I wish some people would just admit that they are jealous instead of being petty about her every move

I don’t mind talk of exes in as far as I’m curious about celebrity goings on in that way. But the acting like it’s personal and i was involved these relationships so I’m just going to go off and be nasty about exes isn’t my thing. I don’t have strong feelings about the exes. Sometimes I’m mildly curious because I’m curious about Pop and celebrity culture…and couple stuff.

Hopefully Taylor is practicing what she says and has the outside noise muted in her head. Speaking from experience finding your person and feeling safe and settled goes a long way to tuning out that noise and your interest in it.

I’m looking forward to wedding photos. But yeah I agree with you not looking forward to all the negative trolls and “fans” critiquing of the looks. I think people need to learn that it’s ok not to say anything if you don’t like something/someone…we don’t need to negatively critique everything all the time.

Idg the swiftie snark tumblr mindset. Countless accounts complain about Taylor snark, but they have no problem posting the most heinous anonymous asks/takes about her. How does this help the problem? It’s just like Reddit, but tumblr form. It seems so contradictory. Like, do they low key love the snark bc it gives their individual account attention. Pls someone explain. Do these accounts even like Taylor anymore? Giving crazies a platform seems messed up to me. Idk

Sigh…if I say anything in agreement about this people will think I am vague posting. I am not. There is no one single blog doing this. Many do it. Blogs I follow do it. So preemptively I want on the record this is not vague posting about any one person or blog…

I don’t post a lot of asks. I don’t get a lot of asks. I do get sent more negative then positive ones it seems. But I don’t like to post asks that are literally just negative trolling. I just delete them. I don’t want that to be the vibe on my blog. It’s not an absolute rule since sometimes I’m sure I have posted what others may consider negative asks (some may think this ask is a negative vibe…depends on their perspective I guess)

I’ve been gone for a bit because it stopped being fun for me on here. Since popping back in and engaging with asks again I’ve tried to resist posting anon asks that I would post so I could just slam, drag, or demean what I consider a negative troller. I think we don’t get anything from that other than aggravation and a false sense of…well…superiority in dragging their dumb asses. They…the trolls…unfortunately get a lot from platforming them on our accounts. Plus the trolls end up driving the discourse direction which makes it frustrating.

We don’t get to tell other accounts what to post though. If that’s the vibe they want then they get to feed into those trolls by answering those asks. For me I either unfollow or I just scroll past those ask posts if I otherwise enjoy or am interested in their other content.

I don’t really remember details of it to say one way or the other. If you say it was eye level then maybe it was from the ground and not a drone.

Have you seen that video footage of Travis holding an umbrella in the left hand and beer in the right? Do you think that video was obtained by a person or drone?

There are a bunch of photos and videos from the wedding that I came across. I think I know which beer with umbrella one you are talking. Of course there could be other angles I may not have come across yet and you are talking about that one.

I’d have to see it again to give you a better opinion…but I just assumed most were from a drone…except that one the person was taking through their balcony.

they both looked great and very happy. I can imagine how amazing it was coming off a season of weddings, including their own, to attend one as husband and wife.

Yes they have the glow going on. They do look happy and loved up. It’s fun to see them out and about.

I think everyone came home sunburnt from the wedding…it looked unrelenting. I would have had three of those umbrellas in my hands forming a full canopy 😂

TNT both looked so good at Juju’s wedding. I like the color palette of Taylor and Britney M’s dresses. It looked so summer formal and bright for an outdoor event. The guys must have been so hot in the dark colors under that sun though 🥵

Well looks like they are in LA…with the fluffy dog. So another point in favor of the Juju wedding I guess.

Am I the only that feels Taylor sometimes has some bad luck when it comes to releases. The Fate of Ophelia is one of her biggest hits and objectively a great song but will likely be overshadowed for any award because of Choosin Texas. I Knew You is objectively a huge original song for a film and has charted really well fitting well with the movie yet will likely be overshadowed by Lin Manuel and Travis Scott for any award.

I’m the wrong person to ask this. I don’t follow awards or chart stuff.

I guess it’s always a roll of the dice with release timing. The whole voting thing is weird because besides just name recognition and all that popularity and connections issues that go into voting. You also have voting blocks that can get divided because of genre or whatever. I just don’t think they say all that much about those who don’t win…and sometimes an asterisk for the winner too.
