// Man, I’m scrolling past the hunger game simulator that askmalzy put up, and I’m sad I missed out lol.
Anyone wanna do it? Reblog / send me an ask if you want in! I’ll use your blog icon as your picture, unless we have duplicate muses with the same icon, which I doubt will happen. You don’t have to be following me or anything; LET’S SEE WHO GONNA DIE FIRST.
btw I want everyone to read Battle Royale. :P It’s bloodier than Hunger Games and was written for a more mature audience back in the 90s… plus it was censored when it was first released in Japan! XD
also I feel like I have very few followers who see the things that I post soooooo reblogs would be great?

Guess what time it is, guys. TIME FOR ANOTHER HUNGER GAMES SIMULATION! I’m sorry, I’m bored. If you don’t want to see it, then block the tag #hunger games stuff.
There are 23 slots, as usual. To enter, reblog this post or send me an ask saying you’d like to enter. Likes of this post do not count.
And as last time, OCs must provide me with an icon I can use for them. If one isn’t provided/in immediate reach for me (ie right on the blog home page), that OC will be kicked if there are others vying for a spot.

Who was this young lady? She seemed lost, out of place. If the lack of colors wasn’t distinguishable enough, Shen didn’t know what else to say. He stood from afar, taking note of her other features before deciding upon the next course of action. He uncrossed his arms and lowered himself down the side of the roof and building. It was better not to say a word. Instead, he would remain ever watchful of the stranger. The Eye of Twilight had witnessed many things. For now, he hadn’t seen enough to pass any judgement and so he needed to collect more information.
( mutedachromatic )
Squinting at Shen’s open hands, the girl thought about what to do. Shen is a Ninja, and could easily beat me in any form of combat, if he really wanted to. However, a small, nagging part of her gut screamed at her to trust this man- that he wasn’t trying to trick or harm her. Taking a deep breath, the girl relinquished to her hunch, deciding to give Shen the benefit of the doubt. I still better be careful, though.
She nodded at his question, smiling a bit, and then twisted her head so that its side was laying against her knees. She was trying to get across that she was just tired, but Shen most likely already knew that, which only made her less forthcoming with her pantomime. Don’t become an open book for him, now. Letting him fully read her would somehow not result favorably for her- she just knew it- and besides, she was sort of fond of the concept of privacy. The idea of being completely known scared her, to say the least.
… Or, she could have just been scared that, upon knowing that her mood crystal had been relocated to her pocket for its nightly safekeeping, Shen might think that she had stolen it. She had dealt with that encounter before, and did not want to play chase with a Ninja during the wee hours of the night.
Shen’s face was as expressionless as ever. It was hard to portray to a stranger that he wasn’t hunting her in the dead of night. But by the light smile on her lips, it seemed she got the message. That was a good sign and a good start.
“What brings you out here?” he pressed the question again.
The ninja showed no intention of moving without an answer of some sort from her. He didn’t quite understand. He would have thought she might have tried to explain herself. When he spoke to her, he thought he saw recognition in her colorless eyes. It meant the foreigner did understand his language.
“Can you speak?”
The girl visibly reacted to his last question, shaking her head. There we go, she thought as she stilled herself. Progress in this conversation.
That did, however, put a staunch limit on how much communication would probably happen in the future. Not only could she not speak, but the writing systems of Runeterra were still tricky. She- sort of- knew the common alphabet and some very basic words, but that was it, really. She seriously doubted that any of the Zaunite she learned would help her here.
Ah, man, she was on the border of coming off as very rude, which was probably not a good thing in Ionia. Heck, maybe I already have? That certainly would not help her at all in her current situation, especially when she was merely seeking to better be able to defend herself. And not in a hard-knocks sort of way, like running from the ninja in front of her.

The gray girl nodded, putting her arms out in front of her and stretching, rolling her shoulders as soon as she was done. Golly, the chase had taken its toll on her- she was sore, her legs were throbbing, and the fog in her mind was finally almost gone.
Really, how am I supposed to do anything ever with this out-of-shape-body? She had been other places before, trained herself to her peak physical condition- er, at least she thought so- and every time she went to other worlds, she had to start back at square one. She was hoping that Ekko might be too fascinated with the situation at hand to call her out on her chubby bluff, though. Or, to at least not really care.
“We’ve gotta figure out a better way to communicate,” Ekko stated, ignoring the stranger’s stretching. “I don’t even know what your name is, and there’s not really any way for me to figure out. I mean, unless I just ask a hell of a lotta times. But that just seems… Difficult.”
Lifting his chin off of his knees, and placing it on his head instead, he thought for a bit. “Hey, do you even have anywhere to stay? I don’t think you’ll be welcomed back to Piltover after that little fiasco we just had.”
The girl’s eyes went wide as Ekko asked her about her living situation. She hadn’t thought about it yet- of course I didn’t; how could I forget something so important?!- and tried to puzzle something together. Uh... I could always sleep outside? Find some hole to crawl into? I don’t think I have the money for this world’s equivalent to an inn, but man, did I get good at impromptu camping...
She took a sharp breath whenever she remembered that, oh yeah, she hadn’t actually answered Ekko’s question. She shook her head at the boy, truly sorry it had taken her so long to reply to his relatively easy question.

MoodRing stood a few feet behind the… incredibly strong individual, brow knotted up and eyes wide in a shaky awe. She had come to the gym to go run their in-door track, and had done a double- no, triple- take whenever the man lifted up the iron bolder and then let it fall.
Sweet dear deity, I might need to find a different gym. Not, of course, that that kind of strength made her discouraged or anything, nonono! She was just… merely… scared for her well being. She glanced over at her puny little arms, and down at her undefined stomach. I am gorgeous the way I am, she had to remind herself, but I probably wouldn’t win a fight if one broke out in here.
Arkyn smiled at the woman a little apologetically, having noticed that she was stunned by the weight he had lifted. He scratched the back of his head a little sheepishly, trying to act somewhat normal
“Eh, sorry if dropping that weight scared you,” he said, feeling that he should at least apologize to someone. After all, half the gym had turned his way when it happened.
As she was being addressed, the woman (Girl? Young lady? Young Lady.) peeked up from assessing her undefined form, before quickly rectifying her posture- nope, you didn’t see any of that! She waived her hand dismissively at him, as if trying to communicate to not worry about her (and her weak little baby form).
As soon as it grew too awkward to actually stand around and keep dismissing his apology non-verbally- the only way she could- she was off down the track again, resolving to at least re-gain the leg strength to run away from people as strong as him that wanted to do her harm.

((Hey everyone! I hope you all have had a good day/evening/sleep. ^u^ This is going to be under cut, due to it’s length.
The teenager couldn’t help but laugh at the stranger’s antics, but quickly calmed down at what she’d said.
“So… Not from here. Huh. ‘How’d you get here?’ isn’t exactly a yes or no question, is it?”
He frowned, moving his chin to his knee, and staring down at his feet. “Guess it makes sense, if you don’t even write in our language. But you understand me fine, yeah?”
The gray girl nodded, putting her arms out in front of her and stretching, rolling her shoulders as soon as she was done. Golly, the chase had taken its toll on her- she was sore, her legs were throbbing, and the fog in her mind was finally almost gone.

Arkyn grunted, dropping the weight back to the floor. Though the gym had padded floors, there was still an audible thunk when they landed, for what else would happen if someone were to drop a 275 pound dumbbell? Yes, it was an absurd weight, but Arkyn was Iceborn, and his strength far exceeded that of a normal man, though he may have looked relatively slim.
He chuckled as he saw the faces of some people turn at the sound, staring at the weight. It had slipped, and he picked it back up, awkwardly placing it back on the rack.

Do me a favor. Reblog this if you welcome the use of ask memes as icebreakers between characters that have never, or rarely, interacted before.

The girl looked up when she was addressed, squinting into what little light here was here. The dark semi-circles under her eyes creased as she assessed Shen’s figure- she could recall rather vividly, back when she was a colorful person, screaming the phrase ‘ShenBot, no!’ at her computer screen, back when League- and everything else- was just a game. She new all too well what Shen was capable of. Truth be told, she knew that she should probably react and run away.
Honestly, though, she just really didn’t care at this point. There was no running away from Shen. Any attempt to survive of her own volition would not be recognized unless the pursuer in question allowed it.
If you really desire to be at all hostile towards me, please just make it quick? she thought as her chin sank back onto her knees. She didn’t stop looking at Shen, though- that would have been just plain rude. Much like her not actually answering his question, but what was a mute to do?
Shen stared passively at the girl and waited for her response. He patiently sat on a knee and held her gaze, giving her a full minute to speak. Until then, he took the time to examine the stranger. Shen noted her facial features were more angular than the people here: her hair was long and curly and her eyes were round and wide. She didn’t look of Ionian heritage.
She kept looking at him with those tired eyes, but still nothing. He watched her pulling herself into a tight ball. Something had stressed the poor girl and this situation did not help. But other than the dark circles that lined her eyes, or her hair that looked a bit frayed and messy from the wind and travel, the stranger looked remarkably healthy. Her skin, from what he could tell, was in good shape despite being so pale. Now that he was directly in front of her, he could see that it wasn’t just her skin or clothes that were milky white, it was all of her that was distinctively discolored. Or rather, she possessed an unnatural lack of color. The closer he looked, the more he could make out the subtle grey gradient that defined her.
Still no word from her. Shen expected as much. The way she regarded the ninja, the girl looked so resigned. But why? She didn’t bother to raise a hand against him, an equal stranger. He closed his eyes and raised both his ahnds instead. Slowly, he lifted them above his head and reached for the two ninjato on his back. The Eye of Twilight unsheathed them and placed them gently on the ground beside him. The pair of swords made a quiet chink against the stony ground. He then showed her his open palms.
“I’m not going to hurt you.” he promised her. Even if she couldn’t understand him, he continued anyways, “Are you alright?”
Squinting at Shen’s open hands, the girl thought about what to do. Shen is a Ninja, and could easily beat me in any form of combat, if he really wanted to. However, a small, nagging part of her gut screamed at her to trust this man- that he wasn’t trying to trick or harm her. “Right, guess that’s too many questions to answer with a simple yes or no.”
The teenager frowned, trying to figure out which question was most important to him. In the grand scheme of things, none of the ones he had asked were truly important, but he was curious. Someone not from Valoran was someone that he wanted to learn more about, to ask questions. The fact that she was unable to speak was but a small hurdle that he had to jump.
“I’m just gonna say you’re not from the Void. Yeah, you look a bit funky for a human, but I mean, you’re not purple. Or spooky. Or an alien. Are you from somewhere else in Runeterra?”
At the word “spooky”, a smile twitched its way onto her face. The crystal in her lap turned a luminous yellow as she raised her arms and moved her relaxed hands back and forth, wiggling her fingers. Her mouth pressed into an ‘o’ formation as she tried her hardest to convey a comical ghost rather than a terrifying one. Aw, who says I’m not spooky, Ekko?
Her five seconds of glory over, she let her arms fall and shook her head. No, she was indeed not from Runeterra. She might have been able to loosely identify its cultures and some if its key figures, but she wasn’t actually from here.
“Huh.”
That was unusual. Another place in Runeterra, presumably? That seemed doubtful. There was very little interaction between the differing continents - in fact, Ekko didn’t really know more than the name of some of them.
Very unusual.
“Is it somewhere else in Runeterra? Or are you from, like, the Void? Nah, you don’t look like a Void person.”
There was a definitely a mystery here to figure out.
The girl rolled her eyes up in thought, the crystal in her lap turning a pure orange. She she was pretty certain that she didn’t even come from Runterra, so did that technically make her from the Void? What was defined as the Void? Did other dimensions count?
Or, were other dimensions- where she was 99.9% certain she was from- considered planar, at that point? If that was the case, then wouldn’t the Void count as it’s own plain? It was all very confusing at that point, and it made her wish that she had gone and read through every little bit of lore regarding this. Damn that Retcon.
