[Sorry for the immense quiet time, guys. Been moving around a lot recently, dealing w/stress, and playing games to distract myself--when I can. My RP motivation is way down the drain rn. But I do plan on returning sometime. Just wanted to finally give a heads up as to my situation. B') ]

Her first thoughts was of his silence. Still, she found herself too preoccupied with a half-assed attempt to clean off her suit—both back and front, thanks to her fumble. Neither her startling—or at least, she would definitely call it such—folly nor her apology got a single word from the other man. Was he upset? No… he didn’t seem that way, with the gesture he made. It could’ve been much worse, Jin supposed.
She hadn’t even noticed his tiny height… Now that she wasn’t looking up at him from the ground and she was somewhat positive he wasn’t terribly upset about the rude awakening, she could see that he was just about near her height—at least, with her boots on. It had the woman pause for a moment and smile. Perhaps rude, for her to be thankful that the man was so petite, but enjoyable nevertheless.
At the sound of his chuckles, Jin lifted her head from her dusting and rambling thoughts once more to see him offering a cigarette. She was far from a smoker, but one wouldn’t hurt anyway. With a nod of her head, she took one with a mumbled thank you. She brought it to her lips to free up her hands, ruffling through her pockets to pull out her lighter—or the pen and notepad she carried? All right. Rolling her eyes, she made a second attempt to dig for the small lighter and took it out with a weary grin.
With it lit, she took a drag and turned her head, sighing out a plume of smoke.
Was small talk worth it? He didn’t seem to want to actually say anything… “I don’t believe I have seen you on the field much,” she shrugged, words slow as she tried to relax from her fall. “Not lately, anywho.”
Morgan pocketed the pack of smokes once the stranger had drawn hers, his posture gradually relaxing. The laugh may have removed much of his disgruntled tension, but that didn't mean he was so keen on taking an eye off of the BLU--
What--Oh, she was speaking again. At least this time it was simpler for him to understand. His brows quirked thoughtfully at her statement, glancing sidelong across the field that led back towards the BLU base. She was right. Morgan was good at recalling faces, and he couldn't once remember--
Oh.
That's why.
His expression soured lightly. So she was the Pyro he was so hellbent on avoiding. Now that he thought about it, the height was similar. The Spy snorted and shook his head--easily mistakable as a reply, if not for the fact that he gestured vaguely to borrow the small notepad and pen he'd seen her drag out momentarily.

E. blinked as she felt the light drizzle upon her already soaked head begin to intensify. Pausing mid-step she curtly turned her chin up towards the evening sky only to find her glasses peppered with plump raindrops. A sudden downpour was coming as she did not want to get caught in that. The short sniper frowned as she diverted her eyes in search for any kind of cover to wait out the impeding soak down. Her brows furrowed to find the nearest building to be unfamiliar. The last time she gathered her barrings she was still in the battle grounds. This certaintly wasn’t the battle grounds. Did her feet take her all the way to the RED side?
A large raindrop landing on her brow—her eye instinctively snapping shut in response—made her push the thought aside. With the rain begining to bounces off her shoulders and the ground more fiercely E. sprinted to the only building nearby to take shelter beneath it’s eaves. Once propped up against the wall she scowled at the rain as she took off her glasses. Holding the lens parallel to the ground she lightly blew across the lens to get the water off them. The lens fogged up from her breath but at least the lens wouldn’t get smudged this way. E. waited for the lens to clear up before putting them back on to take a more thorough inspection of the area she found herself in. She’d only snuck onto to the BLU half of Nightfall to visit a few friends and this certainly wasn’t BLU territory.
“Well, nothing I can do about it now.” She mused indifferently with a shrug of her shoulders. All she could do was wait for the rain to lighten up before heading back to Sawmill. The BLU frowned in annoyance at the thought of waiting to leave, but she was already soaked to the bone and the walk to Sawmill was going to be long. That and it be a wait without something to entertain herself. Not even her hatchet, surprisingly. She quickly padded at the various pockets of her cargo pants for the only things she knew was on her person: a pack of largely unused cigarettes and a zippo lighter. She never smoked unless homesickness plagued her. However, E. never handled boredom well and at least smoking would give her something to do.
Not-quite-so thanks to his cats, Morgan had been awoken significantly earlier than intended on a day off. The sun had barely begun to set when he was jolted from an already forgotten dream by Beni dashing straight across his back--his sister not far behind as she may as well have tripped on the pillow he had been laying on. The Spy had cursed them both in the only two languages he knew that weren't signed, fed them, himself, and was now proceeding out for a morning's cigarette.
Or evening's. However he was supposed to consider it.
By now, at least, he was entirely awake with a full stomach, so his irritation from an hour before had dwindled and left him in a fairly content state. Which was good--else he may not have taken the sight of a stranger loitering at the base quite as passively as he did now.
Morgan frowned, a touch of exasperated disappointment making him huff. For as underpopulated as Nightfall was, he couldn't seem to get much time to himself during his smoke breaks. Frankly, he was beginning to consider using the rec room instead. Less mercenaries frequented it as compared to outside it seemed.
Lighting a cigarette and hanging just under the eaves in front of the doorway, he kept to his own devices for the time being, gaze shifting occasionally from the rain to their guest. A BLU, clearly, from another base maybe, or a new transfer. Either way it was clear she'd chosen the wrong time and place to go out for a moonlit stroll if her sodden state had anything to say about it.
It took her a few moments to regain her bearings, blinking twice in succession as she eyed the man when he moved back. There were only a few unfamiliar faces on RED that she could not bring to mind on the spot, generally the spies. Still, there was a difference in gender between the two RED Spies she remembered from the field…
What a day to be wearing the suit. Trying to muffle an awkward grin at the realization, Jin rolled onto her front and pushed herself up abruptly with a forceful shove, shooting onto her feet and steadying her balance before talking.
"Ah, my apologies," she offered, bringing her hands to her front before giving a deep bow. "I did not mean to intrude… I have not noticed many people out in the mornings."
Then again, he was a spy, being unnoticed was their goal… and they succeeded well for the most part. She just had too much fun playing hide-and-seek ala psychosis pyrovision.
Morgan's frown deepened somewhat as she finally picked herself up--not that he knew why. Frankly, her standing meant being one step closer to the mercenary returning to her own business; more importantly leaving him to his. Still, it seemed to be an instinctive expression by this point, pity as that was.
Flicking ash aside from the cigarette as she apologized, the Spy proceeded to miss the majority of Jin's next statement due to her bow. He grimaced. Between the early rise and the unexpected company, he couldn't be damned to reason what may have proceeded the last few words he did manage to catch.
Instead he gestured in a vaguely dismissive manner in reply to her apology and nodded as if he understood everything she said. Morgan's attention remained on the Pyro and, amused, he realized just how filthy she'd made herself when she practically face-planted into the mud to avoid running into him.
Now that he thought about it, the fall itself was pretty damn hilarious, too.
For seemingly very little reason, Morgan snorted and chuckled, shaking his head as he took a drag from the dwindling cigarette. Almost thoughtlessly, he retrieved the carton of cigarettes from his pocket and thumbed open the top, offering one up to the young woman.

'Nothing big,' he started, taking a moment to think it over, 'In my case, the pros outweigh the cons. Constant reassignment means not having the time to adjust to my team, or the enemy team—but the first is most important, with the…' gestures vaguely with an exasperated expression, 'Communication barrier.'
'But if I have to pick something, then being stuck with deadbeat or dumb teammates, as I am now.'
"The Deaf believe there is nothing wrong… The hearing believe something needs to be fixed…" "The problem is not that the students do not hear. The problem is that the hearing world does not listen."

'Can you not come up with anything better?'
The giggle she gave was a wicked one, high pitched and bubbly as it made her shoulders jiggle and her signs come out wobbly.
'Sorry, sorry. I could not resist'
Grace seemed to be highly pleased with how flustered she had made the Spy, bursting back into fits of sniggers and cackles when she finally appeared to have calmed down.
His expression swiftly contorted to that of a scowl at her laughter, though still clearly reflective of his embarrassment. Morgan threw a punch at her shoulder, exhaling sharply in exasperation and starting for the door to have a smoke. Or two.

Every morning was the same with the exceptions of when she didn’t want to get out of bed. At least, the weather forecast sounded a bit gentler time time around— The suit would be enough to keep her warm during her morning runs. The woman slipped out of her room and quietly through the halls, breaking into a run once she made it through the doorways to the outside of the base.
The runs always managed to keep Jin in a good mood for the day and with the haircut taking off the majority of the back of her hair, she didn’t feel as tied down by her hair. Still, she looked tremendously silly with two long strands flowing behind her. She had ditched the bells as she always did in the morning— she was exercising, not playing the part of the base’s wake up call.
It looked like someone was awake nevertheless, though. Unable to stop on a dime when she threw herself at the world, Jin skidded as she dug her heels into the ground to try to stop instead. At least she had gotten halfway— she stopped, but she also flung herself into the ground and by the legs of her only companion on the early morning field.
With a groan, the Pyro rolled onto her back and glanced over the person’s features hazily. She didn’t know why she bothered, anyone on the field would look hazy to her with what Pyrovision did to her memory of the battles. Still, there was no reason to not be polite.
"Ah… Annyeong-hasimnikka…" She chuckled, still on her back on the ground. As horrible as she felt that she could not bow to finish her greeting, but the fall was shocking enough that the woman didn’t really care to move.
Morgan wouldn't admit how startled he was by the Pyro's sudden appearance off to his side as she practically flung herself into his peripheral vision.
So much for the pleasant afternoon he had hoped for. No more than ten minutes out of bed and he just had to have an encounter with a stranger--arguably a BLU. There was a vague attempt not to look as disdainfully surprised as he felt, but grogginess clearly wasn't having any of that.
Gathering his bearings and straightening, he tightened his jaw and flicked the ash from his first cigarette of the evening and took a couple steps back to give the young woman some space. She spoke--presumably, but Morgan didn't have the faintest of what she may have said between her position and the speed at which she spoke.
The Spy shifted awkwardly as he kept a cautious eye on his unwanted visitor, brows furrowing and making no indication that he planned to speak to her yet.
