 Leo frowned dissapprovingly. Someone could hear her, and humans only say La was suspicious wasn’t it. He walked over to the counter, and patted his sister on her head affectionately. She was okay, that was good. He pointed at a random drink to order.

“La~! Tii, ttt, Latte!” She hummed, leaning in when her brother patted her head. It was a good thing that the hours were slow and not many people were present, or she may have become the center of strange lala-related gossip. 

Have you been busy? She asked her brother wordlessly, hurrying to gather the coffee making supplies, I make money, did you know that? It’s used to buy human toys for human girls like Sama!

Leo was getting worried about his sister, after not hearing from her for awhile. He walked to his sister’s work looking for her.

--- And there, standing behind the counter, was the cafe’s perkiest barista. Also the most useless. All she was good at was drawing latte latios and latias.

“Laaa~!” And squeaking loudly at guests. Like her brother! And then practically bouncing around behind the counter as she waved at him, “La-La-Laaa!”

"…I never thought about it that way. I guess you’re right."Now that he thought about it, it was just plain ironic and hypocritical.

"Well I like me and that’s what matters right?"

"Mmm... I guess so." She had forgotten about being lost now. And people wonder how this spacey Pokemon could get lost in the first place, huh? Instead, she was focused on her new self-declared friend. "But not being liked by anyone else would be lonely... Oh! But you can have me for that!"

"Th-This is one of many places that we live. We actually live just about everywhere, we’re so common that the trainers… well they kinda hate us."He averts his eyes, a hint of sadness in his voice.

"I’m honestly surprised you haven’t, since we’re everywhere."

"That's pretty strange of humans... After all, they're everywhere too." Latte mused, this train of thought being enough to dry the last of her moody tears, "If anything, I would think that they would like you... You have so much in common."

"D-Dangerous? I’m just a tiny Zubat."Since she was one too he felt it was safe to tell her."I-I don’t wanna hurt anybody."

"I-I can’t tell you to trust me, but you can if you want. I promise i’m not bad if it makes you feel any better."Zu gives her a soft smile.

"Zubat?" She repeated curiously. A second later, everything fell into place. So he was a fellow Pokemon... Good! Otherwise she would be getting scolded by her brother so being so open-mouthed about this 'illusion'.

"Good... Good! I didn't mess up completely." Latte sounded relieved about that much, "Is this where Zubat live? Do you ever go anywhere else? I haven't ever met a Zubat in Sinnoh before."

"L-Let’s just go wait outside okay? I’ll wait with you until your brother comes okay?"While he hated going outside during the day, he hated hearing others cry even more.

"He should be able to see you from here."He tries to give her a reassuring smile, hoping she would stop crying.

"Are you sure? Are you really sure?" The young whiny Latias asked, her tone reflecting an equal dose of hope and misery. "Can I trust you? Wait..."

On that note... Weren't humans supposed to be cautious? 'Stranger danger' was a thing that they warned human girls about, right? 

She sniffled again, adding more quietly, "You aren't a dangerous stranger, are you?"

Wasn’t Latias a Pokemon? He’d heard the name before from passing trainers, so it was okay to talk to her after all?

"O-Oh okay. Maybe you should just wait in one place, he knows you’re here somewhere right? So if you just stay in one place then it’ll be easier for him to find you."His logic was sound, but only if his implication was true.

"H-Hey are you going to cry? P-Please don’t cry!"He could hear it in her voice and immediately tired to think of some way to cheer her up.

She sniffed, moving her human hands to wipe her tear filled eyes. It wasn't right for her to cry, she knew... This person was a stranger and didn't deserve the trouble of a crying stranger.

"Where would I wait? I want to be found quickly..." At least the sobs were giving way to a sulky pout, "I've never been lost in this form before..."

"I-I’ve never heard of it…"Zu could already feel the disappointment in himself, knowing he couldn’t really help the poor girl.

"H-How did you get here the first time?"Maybe it was one of those.. uh… boats? He never really understood what those were, but he knew they helped people move around.

"Maybe he can come get you? Oh, but then he’d have to know where you were…"

She felt tears forming in her eyes as the childish panic grew worse. 

"I-I flew. I'm Latias...  I can fly, but I do that at night. I used the stars as a map, so..." Now that the sun was coming up, she was useless. If she went flying out like this the she'd sooner get exhausted and land in the ocean than get home anyway. "I don't know how to contact him. I don't have one of those human talking devices. And our linked vision won't help without a sign or something."

And now, the tears started in full.

"I'm such a foolish little sisterr!"

"I-I’m sorry. Where are you trying to go?"Zu didn’t want her to be upset so he hoped that he could do something to help.

"I’ve never been anywhere but the Sinnoh. Are you from another region?"He’d always wondered about other regions and what they looked like, though it’s not like he could actually see them anyway.

"Mm-hmm." The human girl nodded her head quite rapidly, her panic probably more obvious than she'd have liked for it to be. Already, the Latias could imagine how upset and worried her brother probably was...

"I'm from Hoenn... I came here to visit and I don't know how to get back on foot!"

Normally, she might change back into a Pokemon and fly home... But that was safer at night. There were stars to help her navigate at night and less people to notice her.

"My brother is going to be really worried..."

A sound of surprise escapes him as the girls voice breaks the silence. When did she get there? He hadn’t been paying attention so he probably just missed hearing her vibrations.

"M-Mt.Coronet."It wasn’t uncommon for someone to get lost in here, the cave was huge and even he found himself lost on occasion.

Mt. Coronet? The Pokemon had to search her sleepy head for that location and remember what region it was in... When she remembered, her expression fell to a look of utter dismay.

"Mt. Coronet? I'm still in Sinnoh?" She asked in a whiny tone, "But I've been walking for hours!"

When she flew, she'd be all of the way in Hoenn by now... Why were human feet for inconvenient?!

Zu lets out a small yawn, he’d been up the entire night and now the sun was beginning to rise. He thought it might be time to go to sleep, but didn’t really want to just yet.

For Latias, the night had been spent in her assumed human form. She loved to visit the human cities at night and prance around in their artificial light. There was a ferris wheel atop one of the skyscrapers and it had such a relaxing view...

But now she was wiped out. Exhausted didn't even begin to describe it... She didn't even know where she was going anymore. Her brother would be pretty cranky if she not only stayed out late but got lost...

"Um, excuse me?" Spotting Zu, 'Latte' approached and waved a hand, "Do you know where I am now? I'm not good at traveling on foot."

It was nice to see a smile, when so many had their troubles. The rising star preferred to ignore that which was negative. Such things tended to drag people down. Others that could smile and be optimistic were likable, and drew him in with ease.

Blue eyes were cast on her notepad as the words were written, and the young man nodded in understanding when Latte had finished.

"Hoenn, huh? I went there once, but I was really unprepared."

His trip to the region was not voluntary; rather, a Duosion that enjoyed making trouble had transported him and his team there.

Another pause, and Isaac responded by shaking his head.

“I came here from Unova.” He replied, taking another sip from the drink gifted to him. The tone he used revealed how proud he was to hail from the region.

She tilted her head curiously at this news. Unova... She had never been there. The trip to Kalos was exhausting enough and she couldn't even imagine how hard the flight to Unova would be. She would probably get lost, or spotted... Or caught.

But his tone caught her curiosity. He sounded like he liked that place and that made her want to know more 

"Unova nice?"

The words she wrote were simple, but her eyes were full of excitement. There may not have even been proper words to describe how eager she was to hear about Unova... Or maybe there were, but just not in her simple Pokemon vocabulary.

After a night without sleep, the blond trainer was rather worn out. The Pokemon Center had been full and the hotels too expensive (paying for a trip to Kalos all on his own, which was rather costly, required him to cut some corners). Isaac had resorted to simply wandering throughout the night, and come morning he found himself in a cafe, almost uncharacteristically glum-looking.

All he had was a belt with six pokeballs and the guitar case on his back. Losing more battles than he won left his wallet light as well, so any free items he could get were eagerly scooped up, though he was having a decent haul as of late. A streak of four wins against others was exceptional by his standards. It bought him the bare necessities, at least. And he was always improving. With time, he felt as if he’d be on the level of others. Nothing good came without practice.

The novice had been about to enter the line when a finger on his shoulder made him stop cold and look over. “Ah, hello. Is there something you need?” He asked, curious despite being all tuckered out.

"Oh… Yes, please!" Isaac chimed, reaching out upon realizing that she was offering it. He’d attributed the generosity to the stranger simply having ordered an item that was not satisfactory. He’d done that on his first day in the region. Now the cup was in his hand, and a sip had been taken. It wasn’t too bad. "Thank you much. Are you from another region? You look the part."

The small girl nodded her head, the smile on her face only growing larger and brighter. Not only had this human accepted her gift, but he wanted to talk to her too! Generosity went a long way, just like in those human picture books.

But a familiar boundary was in her way. Latte reached into her skirt pocket to fish out her notepad and pencil, so that she could scribble her response.

"Hoenn!"

That much was okay to admit, right? Leo wouldn't get mad at her. It wasn't like she had said she was a Pokemon too.

"Kalos?"

She drew an arrow as well and pointed the page at Isaac curiously.

Kalos! To be honest, it was one of Latte's favorite places. It was worth risking the sight of a Latias flying through the skies to get here. Because not only did this place have a lot of interesting human culture, history, events, excitement, and food... But it had great coffee! Damn, this little Latias? Soold.

She had been at a coffee shop and struggling to order prior to her encounter with this poor young man. Latte could not speak the human language due to being a Latias in disguise, so had to write with sloppy handwriting to order her drinks. Drinks plurral, because she couldn't speak or read Kalosian perfectly either. She wasn't sure which of the options was her favorite mocha latte and which was... not a mocha latte.

But two cups and less money later, Latte had her drink. She casually sampled them both, decided which one she cared about, and then tapped a passing stranger on the shoulder.

"Laaa--- tte?" The illusion Pokemon question, holding the less appealing coffee cup in Isaac's direction. Hey stranger. Want a free coffee? She's only sipped it once, but she didn't want for it to go to waste.

Her brother sighed quietly. He was carrying bags with him.  He had felt uneasy today, but nothing seemed out of place, so he nodded to his sister,”Tio.”He responded. He himself was about to change, when he stepped out into the clearing. 

He flailed when he saw the children and their pokemon. He turned around to try to keep his sister from revealing her self in front of them, and ended up tripping over a bush.

"Huh?" Omichron turned when she heard the crashing sound. She was surprised at first to see a young man had tripped, but settled relatively quickly. Her confused gaze lifted to the red haired girl, then to Sam. "Psst. Do we know them?"

Sam looked at the two strangers, before saying,”Ummm, nope.”She looked down to the surplus of food, and then to the strangers, and then to Chron. “Hey,”She started,”Do you think they should join us?”

Without waiting for and answer, she yelled out,”Hey you two! Are you okay? Are you lost? Do you want something to eat? we have plenty!”

"LATI?" All too suddenly, the sister illusion was hopping over her brother and about to take off to the picnic. She was all about food..! Free food especially! Except...

Latte stopped mid step and looked at her brother for his approval. You're in for free food too, right?
