Halooo ayang. Ketemu lagi sama 1 Desember. Baru setauun ternyata wkwkwk kirain udah 10 taun.

Makasih yaaa udh selalu jadi partner yg sabar dan penyayang buat aku yg baru pertama kali pacaran. Ayang sabar nemenin dan ngajarin aku biar engga jadi cewe yg terlalu cuek. Ayang juga yg ngajarin biar aku bisa manja dan rewel. Selain itu juga banyaak sih yg ayang ajarin. Sekarang aku mau mulai masak juga karena ayang yg semangatin dan bantuin di dapur. Aku sangat banyak berterima kasiiih buat semua yg aku dapet dr ayang. Maafin aku juga masih banyak kurangnya, semoga ayang masih sabar teruuus dengan keonaranku, keteledoranku, kegalakanku dll.

Semoga kedepannya kita selalu sama sama dan diberikan kelancaran utk mewujudkan planning2 kita yaaa. Love youuuuuuu uyung

September is always the start of my new chapter. I was born on September, entered college on September, went to a long trip with friends for the first time on September, got my first job on September, and i move to another town on September too. This is so exciting yet scary. I see a lot of cool people with amazing backgrounds. Every thing they do looks really cool and i feel like I'm in the movie set. Everything's great that I am afraid I can't catch up and falling behind. I want to learn faster and be cool like everybody else. I want to be part of it. Dear God, please let me be. Don't take this away from me. Guide me and help me in my journey

Good stuffs on Netflix

Continuing my first post about Netflix’s series recommendation here, I want to post again some good stuffs on Netflix that might save you. Of course this is subjective and purely based on my taste. I’m not gonna give rating because they are above 4 for me.

Extracurricular

This series is just amazing. It’s something that I’ve never seen in Korean drama. The plot is about good high school student who has dark sidejob outside school. After his job got exposed by one of his friend, their adventure begins. I love the lead characters to the point I don’t know whether it’s okay to root for them. Almost zero romantic scene for those two and it leaves me bitter until now. Looking forward for the season 2! (if perhaps, any)

Its Okay to Not Be Okay

First thing first, whoever came up with Kim Soohyun & Seo Yeji’s pairing deserves pay raise. They have good chemistry and they even look alike. Talking about plot, it was a healing process for the characters with every chapter named after fairy tale as the lead was potrayed as fairy tale’s writer. For some people, the first two episodes might be a little weird but after the story grow it’s heartwarming and fun. Another good point is Seo Yeji’s dress throughout the drama. They are fabulous!

The Queen’s Gambit

Honestly I never thought chess was this serious and complicated. Turns out the strategies also have names. The series is interesting to watch as I learn chess is more than just hobby. The lead character is a chess prodigy, making her name big in the world full of men.

Start Up

This is a very popular drama that makes netizen divided into 2 teams, rooting for the male lead or second lead. For me, instead of the love affair between the leads, what’s interesting is because we can see the behind the scene of the start up company. The struggle, the passion, and the casualness.

Voice

The series is already on its third season. The first two seasons are available on Netflix but the third season isn’t. You may watch in different platforms. The story revolves around a Korean police unit called Golden Time (similar to 911). They recieve emergency calls and guide the caller to their safety. Almost every episodes has different cases but some of them are related to one big case with a mastermind killer behind it. The female police officer has special hearing ability that is a big help for the team.

Haikyuu

A legend. Just like Kuroko’s Basketball, Haikyuu is a sport-themed anime but about volleyball. It is about high school team and their journey to become the champion in Japan. Although it’s not as exaggerating as Kuroko’s Basketball in the term of ridiculous skill, they are still anime thus you’ll expect slow-mo. It’s light and fun, and you feel like you’re grow with them. 

Sweet Home

Based on webtoon adaption, Sweet Home is a thriller and sci-fi series. The main lead moved to apartement where it was supposed to be a sweet home but turns into shit home. The residents are trapped in the apartement when a “pandemic” occurs, the disease starts turning human into some kind of monster. Maybe similar to Alive, the Korean movie but I think Sweet Home is more entertaining.

Alice in Borderland

Similar to Sweet Home, Alice in Borderland is also about surviving. They are forced to participate in games in order to survive. Each games are in different difficulties based on the cards they play (spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds). If they can finish the game they will get a card as a visa to live. If your visa expired or you failed to finish the game, you’re killed. Survival themed show is always interesting for me, and Alice in Borderland with Japan culture in the background is refreshing.

Hot Stove League

What a superb drama! This is a feel good drama that makes you can’t stop watching it and makes you part of them. The plot is about baseball team in Korea who ranked last in the league. They hire new manager who is famous for his record of bringing every team he manages to win but disband after it. This is my first time watching drama about sport aside from anime. As expected, it’s veeeery good. I like how the new manager is unlikeable and not friendly but very good doing at his job. We can see how the baseball team transforming slowly to become top-tier at their league. One of the best drama I’ve seen so far.

wishful thinking

2020 is a long year, yet feel so short. I feel like I’m taking a major break this year. At first, it feels right to take a break for a while after I worked hard in 2019 and didn’t get much time to think for myself. But after months passed, it starts to feel like I’m wasting my time. People around me start their own business, get married, getting new job, getting new partner, etc. They look like growing up and settled down just fine. And I’m getting reality check, standing still in the same spot for the whole year watching people running. Although I know they have their own struggle that they don’t talk about. I don’t regret quitting job, maybe my decision is a little bit stupid and selfish, because getting new job is hard as hell, but I’m afraid I will regret this if things are not working out soon. Hopefully, I will soon have my time to shine, just like everybody else. So, instead of watching, I can finally run too in my own track.

I said I was gonna write everyday but here I am, trying to keep my words a month later. Actually it’s hard to find topics, or something worthy to share. For this post, I want to share about some series that I watched during my quarantine. Gotta give credit to Netflix for saving my boring life.

1. Kuroko’s Basketball

Thanks to Handsome Tiger (Korean TV show), I’m into basketball these days. And naturally I’m coming to Netflix looking for some basketballs-related reality show and ended up finding Kuroko’s Basketball. I watch this anime and its movie “Kuroko’s Basketball: The Last Game”. KB is about a basketball player who wants to become number one in Japan with his team. You know, since it’s an anime of course they exaggerate how they play basketball. But, its so fun. The characters (they have this dream team full of basketball prodigy), the games, the brotherhood. Actually after watching this anime, I begin watching NBA’s games and become Stephen Curry’s fan hahaha.

Genre: Sport, Comedy Rating: 4/5 (the comedy is good)

2. Terrace House

You can say this is Japanese version of Heart Signal (Korean TV show). And actually TH exists way before Heart Signal. Now, it’s already on Season 5. This series is about 3 men and 3 women who lives together in a house, and there are also panelist who makes comments about how they interact. Of course, no script. It is what makes them interesting. We can see pure (or not so pure) human interaction with various type of personality. Naturally we choose our favorite member, rooting for them, wishing them having good romance, dislike someone and wishing them to leave, roasting their behavior, and sometimes cry if they’re leaving the house. In Terrace House, you’re free to live as long as you want, and leave as your want. When a member leave, we’ll have a new member. In TH you’re practically growing with them. When I finished my first season (TH: Boys and Girls in the City), I’m kind of empty inside because I feel like I’ve been losing my friends (the same feeling when KKN ends). So far, my favorites are TH: Boys and Girls in the City and TH: Tokyo 2019 - 2020 (It’s still on going!)

Genre: Reality Rating: 4,8/5 (0,2 percent belongs to toxic members who upsets me)

3. Money Heist

I binge watching this series because everyone talked about it lol. I got curious at first and surprisingly its from Spain. The story is sooooo amazing. I think the writers did a very good job. I mean, I didn’t really see its coming and if I predict something, the Professor is already more steps ahead. Money Heist is about a Professor who gathers group of people and start the robbery in Royal Mint of Spain. I love how every characters is named after cities like Tokyo, Rio, Denver, Berlin, Moscow, Oslo, Helsinski, Nairobi, Manilla, Stockholm, Lisbon, Palermo, Marseille, Bogota. Few things that maybe upsets me is the romance lol you know sometimes you’re stupid when you’re in love and it shows. A little spoiler, a lot of romance going on sometimes I forget its about robbery lol.

Genre: Romance (well..), Action Rating: 4,5/5

4. Itaewon Class

A Korean Drama. Again, I watched this because everyone talked about it.. I dont really have to say much about this drama because.....I don’t really like it but not hate it. The story is pretty good, but I dont really like the lead female hehehe. Just my opinion because i think a lot of people disagree with me. Itaewon Class is about a boy who wants to revenge his father death by crushing top restaurant company in Korea, with the help of his teams called Itaewon Class.

Genre: Drama Rating: 3/5

5. Fight for My Way

Another Korean Drama. For me it’s like dessert after Itaewon Class. At first I only wanna see Park Seojoon with different haircut, ehm a better haircut honestly (yes, his haircut in Itaewon Class is terrible in my opinion). Fight My Way is a typical romantic comedy drama. Bestfriend turns into lover. Park Seojoon and Kim Jiwon’s bickering is what we live for. They’re cute. What I like from this drama is we dont see some rich people with pretty clothings, instead they wear the same clothes over and over again. Just like us. Fight My Way doesnt have heavy story line, they’re more realistic and light.

Genre: Romantic comedy, Drama Rating: 4/5

6. Because This is My First Life

Yes... Another Korean Drama. Because This is My First Life is also a romantic comedy but in a more mature way. There are 3 couples with their own stories and struggling with love. I reeeeeally like the storyline. Lee Minki and Jung Somin are so cute in this. They have their own definition of cute. Lee Minki’s character is very interesting because he acts like a robot, in his mind there are only 2 things: cat and mortgage loan. He then meets his housemate, Jung Somin. It looks like Full House (housemates turn into lover) at first, but Lee Minki’s character definitely refreshing because he’s not someone who likes to tease or bicker like Rain in Full House or Park Seojoon in Fight for My Way. This drama is one of a kind and I think maybe the best romantic comedy I’ve seen, after Full House and Playful Kiss (Jung Somin is the lead in here btw!)

Genre: Romantic comedy, Drama Rating: 4,5/5
