urban turned around, locking eyes with the guy her friend just mentioned, && let’s say that she was disgusted, not by his appareance, he was actually really good looking, but by the way he was staring at her, as if she was some kind of object and not a human. she eyed the boy up && down, a expression of repugnance plastered in her face.

“Honey, just go to the police and report it. It’s not like you’ll get in trouble! I’ll come with you if you need.” Giving the younger female a reassuring smile, she rubbed the girl’s back. “What do you think? I’ll buy you a new phone. That’s not stolen. How about that?”
❝ yeah because it’s totally normal to go to the police and be like ‘hey, i bought a stolen phone, here you have’ ❞ the blonde whined, leaving the phone on top of the table and curling herself in the sofa, upset. how could she be that stupid to buy a phone to a random person in the street ??
Through the streets, the song of traffic congestion and the busy-bodies played like a damn fiddle and to her ears that day, it felt off tune. Whether it was hearing the constant beeping of traffic horns or the men and women bumping into her on their way to work, everything was seeming to get onto Songyi’s last nerve ending. Her family were going through a stressful time, though they maintained their success, because of the threat of other imposing syndicates in the area (which she got most of the responsibility for before it got physical) and added on top of that, her public (cover) job’s boss was running her brain to hell and back.
If anything, at least she had been composed enough to dress herself that morning. Her tall figure was lined by a fitted black suit that she had come to favour over the years and her thick, black locks were flowing down by her side; in short, she had done well in at least making sure she didn’t look like a total mess. Amongst the crowds though, she hadn’t noticed the girl that was walking straight her way, nor did she notice her crashing into her. The sticky and cold substance was running down her and she could feel it without even looking at it; the empty cone was enough of a symbol to what happened. Looking down and seeing the gooey-brown ice-cream dripping down her white shirt didn’t make her happier either.
Her dark eyes gleaming with anger, she looked down to the girl as she apologised simply taking a moment to breathe. There was no point in getting angry over a mistake, her biological father had told her that many times while her adoptive father assured her to take no ‘mistake’ as such but as a strike or a warning. Songyi wondered what force made her believe the former’s advice in that second. Besides, the girl looked like she was sorry and she could at least give her credit for that; she looked honest enough. “It was my favourite shirt but it’s ruined now,” her words came out sounding as if they had been coated in venom but she held her tongue momentarily. On any other day, she would have said no to the shopping but she was already stressed and needed a break; plus it would save her having to get a new shirt later, “I suppose I could spare the time but simply because I do want another shirt.” Though there’s something about the girl’s smile that she can’t help but mirror despite her anger.
SHE DID IT, the first step was already done. urban found kind of funny how the dark-haired girl in front of her reacted, she could feel her anger and how annoyed she was because of her ruined favourite t-shirt, && how she would try to hold herself from yelling at urban and, probably, insulting her. urban thought about how she would react if something like this happened to her, and there were only two possible answers: the first one, being a little annoyed but telling the other person it was okay, or the second option, which was basically to yell at the person who dared to ruin her favourite shirt, there was no in between.
a small smile on her face, her thin fingers wrapped softly around the girl’s wrist, dragging her in the direction of the nearest mall around there. though it wasn’t too far away, it was going to take them a few minutes. actually, urban had no idea in what stores she would made them step in, since she was shopping for the other girl and not for herself. it was ironic though, take her shopping just to get her uncle dead god knew when.
