Reposted from @wonderlustcollective ⠀ ⠀ Name this lil dude 😅 "I’ve seen some strange things in my day and this was definitely one of them. Marine Iguanas are the only marine lizard species in the world found only in the Galápagos Islands. They can dive as deep as 30m (98ft) and hold their breaths for 30-40 mins. It’s believed that they evolved from a common ancestor millions of years ago after arriving on the islands by rafting. On our expedition we only had a small one window to see them and although the weather was turning for the worse, we took our one chance dove on in and luckily were able to witness them with our own eyes. Needless to say they did not disappoint" Video & caption by @kenzokiren #wondermore #regrann #galapagosislands #ecuador https://www.instagram.com/p/CEorwheAY1T/?igshid=o01rcs47bof2
