Quite rusty on a drawing tablet, so did some practice with my favorite stabby little guy. Basically just a redraw of a Puppet Master 4 screencap. I don't know if I'll ever feel "done" with this one so I'm calling it here.

Art the Clown is a very silly little guy. Drew these based on screenshots from Terrifier 2. The flower glasses were my favorite look for him when I saw the movie, but I wanted to try drawing him with a few of his different little props from the costume store.
Alcohol markers, rollerball pens, and correction fluid for touchups, on 8x10 sketchbook paper.

I thought I was done with Phantasm for a while, but I drew this when I heard about Reggie Bannister going into hospice care. It's based on one of my favorite pictures of him, a behind-the-scenes photo from Oblivion.
Note: The reference I used was SUPER low-res and crispy. If anybody comes across a decent copy of the reference photo I would love a link to it.

(Also need to get some gray Copics, because the gray "Art Alternatives" alcohol markers I bought really didn't do it for me, and they got dry/frayed extremely fast.)

today is Disability Day of Mourning, a day when we are to commemorate disabled people who are killed at the hands of their family and/or caregivers. there's so much i could say about it, but mostly i just want people to keep these victims in mind today. here's a webpage that acts as a memorial to these victims and a source for information on the topic. if you can, try to take a moment today to think about these victims and just generally keep them in your heart, they deserve that much.
I know that website. It makes for some very hard reading, as it gives details on each person's death, their disability, and how each murder investigation is going, or has concluded.
But it's also extremely important. Especially if you want to bring receipts to someone who says "Ableism doesn't exist"/ "Isn't that bad." "We've got the ADA, now. Why are you complaining?"
Maybe make sure not to read too much of it at one time, and have a trusted friend to talk with afterward.

āDiane, 11:30 a.m., February 24th. Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. Iāve never seen so many trees in my life. As W. C. Fields would say, Iād rather be here than Philadelphia. Fifty-four degrees on a slightly overcast day. Weatherman said rain. If you could get paid that kind of money for being wrong sixty percent of the time, itād beat working. Mileage is seventy-nine thousand three hundred forty-five, gauge is on reserve, riding on fumes here, Iāve got to tank up when I get into town. Remind me to tell you how much that is. Lunch was, uh, six dollars and thirty-one cents at the Lamplighter Inn, thatās on Highway Two near Lewis Fork. That was a tuna fish sandwich on whole wheat, slice of cherry pie, and a cup of coffee. Damn good food. Diane, if you ever get up this way that cherry pie is worth a stop. Okay. Looks like Iāll be meeting up with the, ah, Sheriff Harry S. Truman. Shouldnāt be too hard to remember that. Heāll be at the Calhoun Memorial Hospital. I guess weāre going to go up to intensive care and take a look at that girl that crawled down the railroad tracks off the mountain. When I finish there Iāll be checking into a motel. Iām sure the sheriff will be able to recommend a clean place, reasonably priced. Thatās what I need, a clean place, reasonably priced. Oh, Diane.
