I started a new Clangen file, meet the parents and the most siblings ever (ignore the parents I forgot how to draw/my style)
Badgerstar my first leader. They had an interaction with a outsider cat (Cannelloni) and became pregnant the next moon so he is the father in the lore
They then had Oliveslip and Cavernbriar my absolute beloveds. Olive unfortunately met her demise before becoming leader, but she left behind 2 kids, Haregrin(star), and Mallowstone
Cavern went into becoming a medicine cat on his own volition and has outlived his parents, sister, 2/3 nephews/nieces, and 3/7 of his kids.
My Suncat’s mom, who I’ve nicknamed Shrimp Tail (do I know what shrimp look like, no, but this is what I imagine) ( once again story and stuff belongs to @jumalanpelko)
I’m putting my clangen cats in Familyecho, I just went through my whole cat list and have counted up 495 cats. I’ve managed to input 417 of them and found 78 more that aren’t connected. When I go to my clan stats to double check it says I have 482. I found the 6 it was not counting, bringing my total up to 488, meaning I have 7 extra cats somehow. I’m struggling
1: Deathclan was founded by Midgestar. She wandered around picking up loners, rouges, and kittypets to join her clan. River happened to be a loner who she came across. Midge had a good heart but was a bit naive and young, leaving a lot of stress on River by accident as she focused more on her love affairs
2: River was never meant to become leader, but Midge died before her kittens became apprentices. He tried to return the leadership back to her family, but they all met tragic ends before they could receive the lives. During his rule, the clan lived through famine and disease, killing most and weakening everyone. River had many kits so there was a guarantee that he would have a successor
3: Thunder grew up with many siblings so it was never set in stone which one of them would inherit leadership, leaving him to live carefree, always assuming one of his older siblings would take the mantle. It later fell on him and he was completely unprepared. Thunder was always childish at heart and that carried into his leadership. He leaned on his littermate and mate throughout his rule, only learning to stand on his feet after their deaths, becoming more cold and severe. He only had a few children, as he remembered growing up with so many siblings yet never growing close with most of them. He trained all his kids so any one of them would be prepared
4: Whisker was a very focused and meticulous leader, not wanting to be like their father. They loved him, but also felt ashamed whenever they saw him next to the leaders of the other clans. They wanted to make sure they could hold their head up high. They had many kids but decided none of them would be a good leader for the clan. After discussing it with their littermate, they decided to pass it onto their coolheaded and thoughtful niece
5: Dancing did not want to become leader. All she wanted in life was to tell stories to the kits of the clan and become a permanent queen. She relied heavily on her two older distant cousins, Shadeslip and Duskjoy. She became a nervous wreck of herself during leadership, jumping at shadows and sounds. She was never seen without her cousins flanking her side. The other clans saw her nervousness and took advantage of it, attacking and prodding at the clan, taking a few of her lives. Dancing only calmed down after she had her kit, Boar. She named Shade her deputy until Boar was old enough to take over the position. Unfortunately, she passed away in a mountain rock incident the same moon Boar was supposed to become an apprentice
6: Shade was thrusted into the leadership position. She lead the clan surrounded by her grief and guilt, spending more time with Boar than with her own kits. Through her leadership, the clan fought back against the other clans and became a force to be reckoned with. She was the cat that everyone at the gatherings looked at in fear. She never quite forgave herself for Dancing's death even when she took her last breath
7: Almond was chosen after their littermate (Primrosefern) passed away while leading a patrol. Shade then died out of nowhere, leaving the position to Almond. There was great pushback from the clan, who believed it was Boar's rightful position. The commotion only died down once a healer claimed they had a vision saying to let Almond keep the position. They were always a bit resentful towards Boar, but had no choice to keep her as deputy
8: Boar always knew she was destined to become leader sooner or later, which left her with many expectations on her shoulder that followed her throughout life. She never wanted to force the issue of leadership onto any of her kits, so she decided on kindhearted Dusk to take over after her. He was a pillar of support for her, choosing to take on more tasks so she could spend time with her kits
9: Dusk was one of the most loved leaders of the clan. He had a kind heart and due to it, the clan grew exponentially, as he could never turn away another cat. He was one of Gold's biggest defenders and chose him as his deputy. He later fell into despair when his mate passed away, often seen laying on the rocks they used to sunbath on
10: Gold is the only adopted leader in history. It is rumored that he is in fact the son of another clan's deputy and was left in their territory. He was very involved with his family, even being called his younger sibling's "second mentor". He was very nervous over being leader, as he's always known about the rumors, not matter how hard his family tried to shield him. He was very close to all his nieces and nephews. He later had a vision to name Wild as his successor
11: Wild was very nervous about becoming leader as he is naturally very timid. When he received his 9 lives he also received a prophecy to save the clan. He chose his cousin, Gold's daughter, to help run the clan with him, choosing to tell only her about the prophecy. Together, they led the clan through it into prosperity and peace
