Some Writing Updates
1. Spy fic turned to Scifi Mystery Specialists Space Shenanigans real quick.
2. No but I’m scared I’m the only person who will be interested in the trajectory that this is taking. (I will post a sneak peek soon)
3. Researching real science as well as the planets of Winx is taking a bit, and I’d like to get a good amount of it written before I put up the first chapter, so that I can correct any large errors if it comes to it.
4. Okay, this is the part I’m a little scared about. So I know a lot of people will not agree with a fair amount of the characterisation within the fic, because there are some (rather prominent aspects) with which I doubt everyone will agree, But the primary one of those, the reasons for which will be explained wayyy more elaborately in the story is that a large part of the action is based on a scientific hypothesis that Timmy and Helia are working on proving. Ofc, it’s all good with Timmy, but with Helia I know he is known by his artistic side. But hear me out. Again, there is a very concrete (and tragic) reason why this particular thing is as fascinating and important to him as it is, but imo even beyond that it wouldn’t be very out of character for him. He’s a pilot, literally the best (interstellar) pilot they have, it makes sense that he would have a working knowledge of the physics of it. Also like I mentioned in “Falling”, there’s a lot of physics that goes into his laser strings as well. There is nothing to prove this but I also headcanon that Flora and Helia have a shared interest in potionology. And ofc, I’ve spoken about my love for prodigy Helia tehe
But yeshh, just wanted to put it out there because this sort of comes out of nowhere right at the beginning
(It also gives us some adorable timmy x helia friendship scenes so really no one can complain)
As a giant sci-fi fan who always wanted to write a ‘space’-AU for Winx [but I’m not much of a writer, so I never started one] I can not begin to tell you how amazing I think this idea is.
So I can assure you there is at least one other person who thinks this is amazing and would be extremely interested in reading it!

I am so happy, thank you very much (but I do think that as a sci-fi fan the billion plot-holes in the story so far are going to stick out to you even more XD)
And yes!! A lot of people forget that the literal basis of the world of Winx Club is interstellar travel and alternate dimensions, which has soo much potential. Even the creators have stated that certain elements were inspired by Star Wars and other classic sci-fi. One of my favourite parts of the Winx universe is the way that magic and technology coexist, and exploring that relation forms a large part of the narrative for this fic :P
I feel like, especially with the later seasons, where interstellar travel becomes easier or 'not a big deal at all' the sci-fi part of Winx got a bit lost. Of course, there is still the mix of magic and technology (which, you are fully right, is definitely one of the best things in the world), but sometimes it felt like the show 'forgot' that the different worlds were actually different planets. The technology thing was always more of a specialist thing (and Tecna, but we all know she almost always got forced into the background), so by the time the boys started to spend all their time at Alfea, even that got a bit lost. [All of this is just my opinion, btw] Which is sad, because I truly enjoyed those things.
That being said, please don't worry too much. Personally, I don't mind plot-holes in stories, too much. As long as the story itself is entertaining. I do understand the desire to have it make as much sense as possible, though. Very excited to read your next update! And sorry for jumping on here and rambling ^^
