gave the trix some updated casual outfits

The way this transformation is gotten is by giving your entire magical core over to a source of your power and believing that the respect and reverence you demonstrate for it will ensure recognition of that from that source and in turn, will return your core to you with a direct and innate connection to the source of your power without the need for a relic to give you a huge surge in power.
You’re essentially one with your power source from here on out, and that kind of honor and respect for power sources is integral to dark magic practices, so this is considered the last official and recognized transformation for witches.
In fact most dark magic users consider trying to get anything beyond this to be sacrilegious as a result.
The Trix get this near the last 4th of season 3 in my thing, Bloom having gotten her charmix on Pyros in my thing and them struggling against that, and them realizing Valtor, while charismatic and knowledgeable, isn’t that strong in regards to power, he’s just clever.
Samara has been the main power house so far in this season in my thing along with Cassandra. Valtor is the puppeteer (not so much with Samara though but she’s letting him think so) but they’re the cannons.
Icy is the last to do it because she would never admit it but she was scared she wouldn’t get any of her magic back. Her inferiority complex is really starting to pop off this season.
Stormy is the first to get it because she has no doubt she’ll get her magical core back, fully dedicated to it, and Darcy is second just because she knows she’ll get it too and isn’t in any rush.
