âHey, itâs a perfectly good nickname. Itâs cute. Perfect match for you, huh?â She shot him a playful smirk just before turning her sights on her purse. She needed something, any kind of vice to tie her over until they reached his house and her cigarettes were the perfect fit. She pulled one from the pack and placed it between cherry red lips before holding the pack out to him, offering a Camel Turkish Gold.
âSo did you drive here? You seem like one of those bad boys that has a motorcycle, or am I wrong.â She laughed, managing to keep the cig between her lips this whole time. At the risk of dropping it on the ground, she slowly removed it to hold between two fingers. âOr are you going to be a gentleman and walk me there.â She paused, holding up her cigarette once more. âBut before we go anywhere, do you have a light?â
â - âIf you say so Goldilocks.â There was slight tug on his own lips. To be frank, there wasnât much to look forward to when it came to this place, this town, but Bebe certainly knew how to turn that around completely. âNah, I only smoke ze cheap kind, nozzing against Camel, I just prefer an awful brand.â That wasnât all a lie. Besides, Christophe has always been a picky smoker, and bumming off smokes from other people wasnât his thing. âHmmmâŚâ dark orbs glanced away from the girl for a second, almost as if pondering. âWell, youâre not wrong. I do own a bike, but how about we walk? From ze looks of it, it seems like we both need ze fresh air.â Hands dug through his pockets as finger tips brushed upon a smooth metal surface, just what he was looking for.  âDonât you ever carry a light? And you call yourself a smoker?â he said, right before tossing it to  Bebe.Â
â -Â âWhy do I keep finding myself back here again? Tch, I guess Dahliaâs right, I am tied down to this place.â
âHow does that make me lucky? Honestly vampires arenât even real so if you want to pretend to be one go hang out with that vampire boy Mike something..â

â -Â âDonât you fucking associate me to zose fucking peasants!! Zey drink tomato juice and write poetry! I do neither!â Â Â
[ Iâm going to sleep, itâs been a very long day. Iâll come back to these tomorrow - er later. I hope you all sleep well ]
âOh believe me, Iâm not complaining. You can dote on me with that voice anyday.â If she were feeling a bit more flirty she probably would have shot him a wink, but instead, she simply smiled; she didnât need to stir up anymore boy troubles. After all, thatâs why she was trying so desperately to find something to distract herself. âThatâs more like it, Frenchie. Whoâd turn down perfectly good weed.â She laughed, looking around before back to him. âWanna go to your place or mine? Or would you rather us just light up out here.â Both brows arched rather playfully.
â - âYouâre far too kind, but Iâll keep zat in mind for next time.â there was nothing more that Christophe loved besides his smokes and guns, than a daring gal. Usually they would avoid him at all costs, which wasnât a big thing, but Bebe in the other hand managed to make things a little more interesting. Funny, considering the fact they merely spoke to each from time to time, Christophe never felt so comfortable around a girl like this in ages. âStill just going to keep at wiz zat name I see..â he snorted in amusement, nicknames, who the hell went around giving people those now-a-days? âUh... my place is free, if you end up crashing I can let you sleep in my bedroom. No big deal.â
âAnd yet you always return.â A mindless observation uttered underneath her breath, while her gaze wandered off to the liquor cabinet in the corner of the drawing room. âI should be honoured by your sentiment.â
Finally, Dahlia relaxed in her seat, turning the wedding band weighing her hand down around the slender finger, as if to twist it off. âNothing has changed during your absence. I suppose you could consider that good news.â
â - âYou sound surprised.â he started, âof course, you can call it an attachment, if you will. Zis place is where I grew up in, died, and brought back to life. No matter where I go, I suppose Iâll always come back...â dark hues carefully observed the other for some kind of reaction, Dahlia may fool others with words, but her body language canât lie for her. Nothing said, âuncomfortableâ more than a nervous woman. âReally? Is zat what you really want to go wiz? Tell me, just how stupid to you zink I am? Do you really want me to believe your sudden outburst was a fluke? Honestly, I zought we had a better understanding zan zat, my dear.â
âAlways the charmer, huh?â She couldnât help but smile. It was always nice to be called attractive, especially from a hot european guy. âAnd I share when people ask, you just never do.â She shrugged. âI just donât want to be alone tonight, thatâs all. So are you in or out?â
â - âWell, you canât possibly blame me for zat. Charming is just what we do, itâs in our blood... for some fucking strange reason.â thereâs was just something about blondeâs that Christophe was quite fond of, perhaps it was just a trait he was automatically attracted to or perhaps it was an entirely different reason altogether, âEh, I may be a pathetic swine, but Iâm not some pathetic broke crack head. Anyway, sure, why not? I have nozzing better to do tonight.â
âThat is quite untrue. You have no idea what you are talking about,â snapped the brunette, immediately feeling foolish for that outburst - after all her friend had no means of knowing how thin was the ice he trod.
âMy apologies. That was⌠harsher than necessary,â murmured Dahlia, a shade or two more docile than just a moments ago. A change of topic, yes, they needed that. âWhere have you been, anyway?â
â - âWhoa... Dahlia,â he didnât realize he struck a nerve. This was the first time the brunette ever snapped at him, and not that he loathed a woman being in charge, but this was completely out of character for her. It made him wonder if anything did happen while he was away, however, instead of simply asking he merely rolled with the change of topic. Obviously he took it too far, so he wanted to comply to her. âPlaces, you know? Iâm a moving man, I canât be kept in one place for too long.â
misshopaholicx said: âYes, Frenchie. Donât like it? And would you be opposed to helping me finish off a blunt or two?
â - â..... youâre extremely lucky I find you attractive, or else zat pretty face of yours would have been ze first zing to go.â he eyed the girl in a suspicious manner, âsince when do you ever offer sheet?âÂ
âPlease, do not get too used to it,â laughed Dahlia with her head tilted to the side. Christophe sometimes said things that would send any decent woman fainting, but the lady soon realised that would only please him and she wouldnât give him that satisfaction.
However, at his mention of men, the lady stopped laughing. Too close to home. âI have no idea what you might be talking about.â
â -Â âYou donât really take me for a fool, do you? You know exactly what Iâm talking about, not a man alive in England can give you zat sweet taste of sanctification zat only a French man can.â of course, he was only teasing, but since heâs been gone he hasnât known any details of the noble womanâs life at all. So whether he hurt her or not didnât seem to come to mind, if anything, Dahlia was still well... Dahlia.
"Aye Frenchie, I know you smoke cigs but do you smoke anything else?"
â - âFrenchie? Ze fuck⌠well, if youâre dying to know I suppose I can give you an answer.  Damiana, and mullein I guess, zey arenât much, but zey get ze job done. Why?âÂ
âYou are unique and some days I even mean it as a compliment.â At last the corners of her lips curled upwards in a smile. The gentleman had no idea how dreadfully dull could London be without a friend with awful sense of humour. âWell, what can I say? Your company is quite⌠refreshing, darling.âÂ
â - âWhatâs zis? You mean ze high class half-breed is giving me a compliment?â There was no denying it, if there was one thing Christophe missed more than anything it was teasing the poor noble woman. Something about her sassy remarks that made it all the more fun, kinda of like a predator toying with their food before devouring it. âDonât tell me zose men canât give you some type of satisfaction...â
Truth be told Iâve been here, Iâve done this all before I take your gloom I curl it up and puff it into plumesâŚ
I want to love, but my hair smells of war and running and running.
