Your eyes grew wide in surprise as Changkyun got down on one knee. Your right hand nervously played with the strap of your sling bag as you look at the crowd of people around you. No, the both of you werenât dating. Yes, you have a clichĂ© crush on your childhood best friend but, you were pretty sure people go into relationships before actually getting married.Â
âChangkyun!â you shouted in a whisper, shocked.
â-please be fake engaged to me for two hours so we can go wedding cake testing?â he grinned, his eyes turning into the crescents that make the butterflies in your stomach go wild.Â
You scoffed playfully, pushing him as soon as he got up, âWhat the heck, Changkyun!â
Slinging his arm around your shoulder, he leaned closer to your face, âSo how about it?â
You rolled your eyes before answering, âSure, Changkyun.â
You yelped slightly as he picked you up and spun you around. After placing you gently back on the floor, he shouted to the crowd, âSHE SAID SURE CHANGKYUN!âÂ
And the crowd erupted in cheers, some guys whistling.
You laughed at the situation, thinking to yourself- so why do I like this idiot again?
âOh, I almost forgot!â he stuffed his right hand into his pocket, before taking out a ring. âCanât forget the engagement ring.â he winked, before sliding it on your finger.Â
Your eyes teared up, recognising the ring he slid on. âItâs our-â
â-promise ring. Yeah.â he puts both his hands in his pockets, looking down as he switched his balance from his heel to his toes back and forth.
â-lost it? No, I just uh⊠misplaced it.â
âGod damn it Changkyun could you let me-â
â-finish your sentences? Nah.â he smiled cheekily, patting your head.
âWhy do I even put up with you?â you muttered, making Changkyun laugh.
âBecause you love me.âÂ
âYeah, yeah. Thanks Kyun.â you hugged him, thankful he found the promise ring you thought he lost a month ago. He hugged you back, placing his chin on the top of your head.Â
You pulled away, âWhereâs yours?â you asked, smiling as you eyed the promise ring on your finger.
He smiled, looking at you fondly before holding up the chain he was wearing, revealing his promise ring and his motherâs wedding ring he would always hide under his shirt. âHere, as always.â
âAlright, letâs go wedding cake testing!â he held out his hand. You take it, laughing as he pulled you along excitedly to one of the most memorable adventures you had with Lim Changkyun.
Your eyes grew wide in surprise as your boyfriend of four years got down on one knee. Your right hand nervously played with the strap of your sling bag as you look at the crowd of people around you.
âY/N, I love you. You know more than anyone that I am afraid of growing old and grey. That I hate doing the laundry and washing the dishes. But I wouldnât mind all those things, not even a single bit, if I get to spend it with you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Y/N, what I want to ask you is-â
