I lost my wife to suicide on Sept 1st, 2023. The following 9 months were some of the darkest of my life. While I was in such a deep depression, I wrote the lyrics to a song by band, RB in the Background, will be releasing of Aug 2nd. If you don't think you'll be missed, I assure you that's not the case. Your family will miss you, your friends will miss you - probably for the rest of their lives. Please think twice before making a decision you might not have time to regret. TIL In 1926 the famous pianist Fats Waller (then 21) was kidnapped by Al Capone’s gang to play piano for his birthday. He basically went missing for 3 days and was returned unharmed but drunk.

presumably anti skip technology has evolved since then and actually reliably works now (if you jolt a cd drive when it’s playing the laser reading it will also jolt around and songs will skip - not useful when walking. anti skip technology is meant to stabilise so it doesn’t happen. very rarely was this actually the fucking case)
