another thing i liked is that we have an action movie with a black girl among the main characters, and there’s not a single scene during which she has to face racism or discrimination. sometimes we just want to see a black girl discover she’s immortal and kick ass and be sensitive, without unnecessary displays of black pain. also the director of the movie is a black woman!
