Don't be discouraged. Talking about how it makes you feel is not necessarily about being understood or expecting behavior changes. It's more about letting the steam come out and saying what is important for you, and one thing you won't regret is that you never talk about it .
Some forms of phrases help. ex: I don't feel important when I have the impression that things take more space in your head than me.

I understand your point, (reformulate here, ask, is that it?, don't proceed until she says yes). Then, you say, it doesn't change how I feel, could you do something different in the way or frequency... that would help me, help us to feel better and wanting to talk about....
