mybamboom challenges current models of building citizenship by exploring a new approach to community, economics and ecological development. At the end of a consumerist age, on a site in the costal town of Fukui, Japan, mybamboom aims to facilitate micro investment in the growth and use of bamboo forestation. mybamboom is a platform that builds citizenship through exploration, promotion and guidance of sustainable and environmentally friendly ways to develop unused wastelands. マイ・バンブーム（mybamboom ）では、市民構築型という新たな開発モデルに挑戦している。コミュニティや経済、エコロジカルという新しい視点からのアプローチである。日本海に面する地方都市、福井では、バブル時代に典型的な消費型開発が行われた。そして現在、その後始末に苦渋している。マイ・バンブームはこの都市に、ミクロな投資で竹を植林し、成長した竹を様々な材料に利用し、そのプロセスの中で生まれるコミュニティによって町を活性化させるという提案をしたい。使われていない土地を持続可能かつ環境にやさしい方法で開発するため、探求し、促進し、手引きしていく。マイ・バンブームは市民構築型開発のプラットフォームになるだろうと考えている。
