What a time to be alive...
I've spent the last few weeks being run off my feet! Preparing for my exams is not the most exciting thing I could think to be doing right now.
I finished work around two weeks ago, and I thought that would mean I'd have loads of time to get ready for my impending arrival and concentrate on my studies. WRONG! Instead I've found myself with an extortionate amount of free time exclusively for naps. Although that's a beautiful way to spend my afternoons I haven't exactly been feeling productive recently.
Buying Christmas presents on a budget is my current personal project, after asking my older son for a Christmas list at the beginning of the month I was blessed with the cutest wish-list I've ever seen. It's the first year we attempted it and on the next baby I'll be doing it from the moment he can ask for things, just so I can keep the piece of paper until I die. As an extract of the things he asked for: a kinder egg, a new mat, a red race car and 'so many chocolate coins'. Adorable.
His dad wants to buy him a tablet to play on, is six years old too young for this? I think it might be. I can't help but feel it would be relieving to have a third parent of technology once we've got a new born to take care of.
As a student I don't really know if that's financially a good plan anyway, I'm not even sure about my entitlement to maternity pay yet, so I could be facing my time off a little tight on money.
I'm thinking all the time about working towards financial freedom, and I'm considering posting details of that in order to keep myself accountable. Obviously for that to work I'll need to be online more than once every two months! We'll see how that goes.
I hope everyone who reads this is well and happy :D thanks for spending time with me today!
